“I hired Reagan as a Senior member of my UX team at Loot Crate. He was able to hit the ground running and deliver innovative solutions. He helped me shape the direction of the department as a mentor to junior designers. Reagan truly understands how to use research to design for the user's needs. He is a asset to any team & a leader in UX.”

Activities and Societies: Data Driven design squad
At Kent State University, User Experience Design is thought of as a process where students learn, understand, imagine, evaluate and inform based on data findings. The design team begins by gathering data/information about users, clients, the organizational culture, common tasks and work environments. At Kent State University, User Experience Design is thought of as a process where students learn, understand, imagine, evaluate and inform based on data findings. The design team begins by gathering data/information about users, clients, the organizational culture, common tasks and work environments. After sufficient data/information is gathered, the team seeks to understand the context in which the project will be undertaken. This phase is the bridge between data collection and design. Design in the imagine phase involves brainstorming, iterative prototyping and critiquing. The design team needs to constantly evaluate their designs to see if they work in the real world. This may involve usability testing at Kent State's usability lab, eye tracking studies, paper prototyping or heuristic evaluations. Graduates of the program will come away with a solid understanding of usability, content strategy, information architecture and user research.

Another example of powerful benefits-based copy. Instead of focusing on saying how great BillQuick is (which is tempting, because it is awesome), we focused on clarifying exactly how it helps firms become more productive and successful. It's working pretty well for us.
