You're starting a new project with high stakes. How can you prevent scope creep from derailing your plans?
Project scope creep or derailment happens when the team ignores a clarification of purpose for the work. The 5 whys has been taught for PMP holders. Understanding the why is a start point but communicating that “why” or purpose is even more important to ensure all stakeholders focus on what’s important to the purpose, not just “gold-plating “ the project for their individual desires for improvement. Often, scope creep is due to the broken focus caused by the purpose being unclear or poorly communicated.

How would you handle a scenario where senior stakeholders change priorities frequently?
Communication of the reasoning from Senior Stakeholders must also include communication to Senior Stakeholders concerning impacts to planning and consequential changes that will occur to the listed priority matters being effected. Generally, priority assessment impacts project scheduling, resource availability, and budgets wherein the effect of change impacts multiple areas of the business. These priority shifts also must be communicated to the wider audience of stakeholders including customers which should be given a voice in the prioritization realignment. When priority realignment occurs frequently, or even more than one or two times, it promotes a condition of instability, uncertainty, and a loss of trust among the wider audience.

How do you deal with sprint burnout and maintain team morale?
This paragraph is Obfuscating the many causes of burnout. Goal setting without team buy-in as to the purpose and value of the proposed work is equivalent to requesting the team do random and purposeless activity without teamwork and do this without autonomy or reasonable timelines. This circles us straight back to burnout and is NOT a solution.

The mandate for compliance required the standards be met by December of 2017 or fines and penalties could be imposed for non-compliant companies.
In order to fulfill the requirements, 24 application teams were required to update or add new computer code and test the code for fitness for purpose, stability, and functional quality across the enterprise from five sales front ends, provisioning, accounting and reporting platforms, compensation platforms, and data storage. My engagement encompassed two strategic Initiative programs and five project frameworks with over 10,000 testable changes to code. Cross-Platform integration and collaboration, milestones and governance, and documentary artifacts were key indicators of performance until development and testing began. The updates and changes were developed, tested, and released on time and compliance was met despite significant complexity with more than 580 person resources reporting time on the projects, $40 Million in budget overall, and approximately 100 change controlled approvals to meet the expected outcomes. -

Diversified Information Technologies

Diversified Information Technologies had high cost WAN links to India and other locations. Over the course of a year, I defined, designed and integrated a project into their WAN strategy to supplant old technologies with new MPLS, while saving them money and earning more of their business.
