If linking a well setup GA account to Meta can lift conversions by 22%, and setting up Conversion API can lift it by 33%... Why haven't you done it already? It's probably because your paid social team isn't responsible for GA, site work, back-end, measurement plans, tagging, tracking, back end systems. If they brought it up at all, they likely just asked your team to do it which... your team doesn't know how to. My team does. Can we guarantee that same level of lift for either of those connections? No. But what if it was only a 10% total lift? and you saw a higher lift in other ad channels like GAds? What if it was a 20% total lift? As a bonus, you'd also get more accurate data across channels to forecast & budget off of, a better preforming site, and identify where you're at risk of being hacked or unknowingly collecting data that can get you kicked off of the platforms. To get technical, we recently wrapped up an engagement with an attribution and media mix modeling company that had iframes stripping all of the tracking - when they looked at the Shopify numbers almost everything was direct or organic. The site issues that we found identified these causing all of these. We fixed those, they saw a lift in ad performance and changed how they budgeted based on that. We're looking for partners that help with DTC of a wide range: SMB, Mid-Market, Enterprise As our agency is growing, we've been constantly getting asked "how's this app?" or "Hey have you heard of x?" The truth is that we're familiar with a lot of the names and products, but unfamiliar with how the support looks like on the backend. We've got some exciting things planned out with some of the brands we're working with, and in order to execute properly, we're looking for the right Tech/SaaS partners. We've been in conversations with a few, and it's hard to distinguish what's true when we're trying to compare competitors... Sometimes, we'll hear something like: Company 1: "We do X... This chart is a warning to agencies that primarily specialize in platforms. Plenty of agencies can just talk about your product or service on LinkedIn, Google, Meta, etc. That's not really marketing. We take a different approach at DSM. Our priority is understanding the target customer. We want to know what makes them tick. What are their questions, their objections, and their desired outcomes? One we have that, we can resonate with them via email, search, YouTube, TikTok...you name it. Platforms come and go. Who uses them and how they're used are constantly changing. Understanding your customer, on the other hand, is timeless. THAT'S the heart of marketing.

If your brand isn't using AMC insights, you're missing out. If you run DSP with Monks, AMC is included with no extra fee. AMC provides great analysis, but more importantly it provides a way for you to actually use this information and improve efficiency. Custom audiences you can't get anywhere else, ideal frequency caps, and path-to-purchase analysis with accompanying recommended budget spend are all things that you can action. 🤔 How important are internal links for large marketplace brands regarding SEO? One of my marketplace clients accidentally removed dynamic footer links, and we saw an immediate decrease in rankings + visibility for core pages. 😱 Spoiler: visibility and rankings shot back up immediately when the links were correctly added back! 🙌 📈 I know there's debate about the value of footer links within the SEO community, but real-world impacts like this make me think, YES, THEY ARE IMPORTANT FOR LARGE WEBSITES! (or any website, for that matter) Maybe not *always* important for SEO, but also helpful for user experience... Without giving away *too* many secrets, here are some key points to our footer linking strategy: – Dynamic footer links are outlined for each page type within the marketplace to be relevant for users (and search engines, amirite) 😂 🤷‍♀️ – One section of footer links is allocated to the "money pages" that rotate across a pre-defined set of pages – Anchor text is varied and can rotate on page load based on core terms and relevance Ok, enough for now! Running Facebook/Meta Ads This Black Friday Cyber Monday? Don’t Overlook Lookalike Audiences. At every event, presentation, webinar, and in nearly every video, I keep hearing experts pushing the idea of running broad audiences only. Yet, in virtually every ad account I optimize, Lookalike audiences consistently outperform. The only caveat? My Lookalike audiences typically don’t take up more than 50% of the overall budget. At larger scales, they tend to cap out, so balancing with broad audiences is key.
