Stop Your Pitchin'
Before any brand or product becomes a household name, it has to lift off from a cluttered landscape. The spark is often times a single pitch to a journalist and the rest can be history. A panel assembled including: John Biggs (Editor, TechCrunch), Sally Wiggin (WTAE), Diana Nelson Jones (Pittsburgh Post-Gazette), and Kim Lyons (NextPittsburgh) was assembled to give Pittsburgh startups insider coaching about how to get heard by the media.

Ever wonder what makes a great salesperson? How effective are your sales efforts? What does it take to lead a team of them? What if you aren’t selling in person? Can you still succeed? What are the tips and tricks for making cold calls? How much should you pay a salesperson? What technology helps or hurts your sales efforts? How do you stand out and get hired if you don’t have as much industry experience? What about the ever-changing online buyer/seller relationship? Products have evolved and the world is more connected, but sales in any organization is still the critical function to drive growth—and often times the first to see the competition coming. Learn from a venture-backed CEO, managing director of a sales-focused recruiting firm, professor of entrepreneurship at CMU and other innovators that know sales is a crucial skill set to have in a one-person shop, or company of thousands. Join us at this unique Forum Flex event specially designed for entrepreneurs and companies looking to accelerate—and sustain–current sales efforts. This event will be highly interactive, so come loaded with questions. Nothing is off limits.
