During the event, I managed presentation materials, loading and sequencing the slides, videos, and bumpers among three laptops that fed switchers for the projector and the web stream.

    Starting in the Spring of 1992, I worked with the organizing committee to launch the Capital Area Free-Net, or CAPNET (later renamed CapAccess), a public access online service/bulletin board system. I then served on its founding Board of Directors until the operation was taken over by WETA, in 1995, where it lived on for another 15 years.
