🎯 👩‍⚕️ Are Health professionals truly focused on patients? 👨‍⚕️ 🎯 This was a key question last monday at the fireside chat hosted by Ariadna Masó, CEO at SANNO, and Mark Duman, Chief Patient Officer at MD Healthcare Consultants, and held at the Barcelona Health Hub. They pointed out that while most professionals would answer "yes" to that question, many patients would disagree; and invited the attendants to discuss further about this huge gap. Our CEO, Daniel Esteban-Ferrer, PhD, participated as an expert in #SpatialComputing emphasising the following three crucial aspects regarding to patient-centered strategies: 1. Healthcare Access Across the U.S.: Texas Among the Worst as Disparities Widen Forbes Advisor’s recent analysis reveals stark disparities in healthcare access across the U.S., highlighting how factors like insurance coverage, availability of primary care providers, and hospital resources vary widely by state. States in the West, such as Utah, Nevada, and Arizona, scored among the worst, with limited numbers of hospital beds and physicians contributing to poor accessibility. In contrast, states like Massachusetts and Connecticut offer far better healthcare access, boasting low uninsured rates and high numbers of primary care providers. Texas ranks as the third-worst state, facing high uninsured rates and limited healthcare infrastructure in many areas. For Texans, healthcare access often depends on proximity to larger cities, as rural and suburban areas can lack sufficient medical resources, leaving many without timely or affordable care. "Self-imposed problems have tied the health care industry into knots with no clear path to untie them.
