https://lnkd.in/gKMcS3DN On Monday, The Pathways Alliance published the preliminary recommendations related to #datainfrastructure for #educator #apprenticeships. These recommendations are intended to help with the implementation of the pending regulatory changes proposed by the U.S. Department of Labor. I co-chaired this work in my role at BenchK12. If these regulatory changes are adopted, there will be a lot of changes that may be challenging for new apprenticeship programs--like educator apprenticeships-- to implement. Our working group wanted to get ahead of these changes to help programs anticipate them and help the DoL provide the necessary support to help all programs make some of these changes. Ultimately, we all share the goal of creating new pathways for aspiring educators to get into the classroom that honors their commitment to our kids and communities and ensures that they are successful. Additional resources for data infrastructure--the tools & systems that house & help us analyze our data--are critical to ensuring we understand educator supply, demand, morale, and retention. I hope you'll take a short read and tell us what additional resources you need to be successful with data for educator apprenticeships and/or what we missed here that you want us to address going forward.
