The final keynote speaker at the Infosys Connect annual global sales conference was Earvin “Magic” Johnson Jr. He gave an inspiring presentation describing his journey from basketball to business while he continues his advocacy for those with HIV. His wisdom on hard work, skill development, and mentorship resonated with me. He made three points that stuck with me: - Prioritizing teamwork over individual success: “I always say we. I don’t say I.” - Emphasizing the power of collaboration and collective success: “It doesn’t have to be my idea or my strategy. I just want to win. So I surround myself with smart people.” - Focusing on solutions and proactive problem-solving: “Don’t tell me that my house is on fire. Tell me that the house was on fire, that you put it out and what you’re going to do tomorrow to make sure it doesn’t happen again.” Magic’s insights are a reminder of the significance of unity, collaboration, and resilience in achieving success. #Infosys #BusinessWisdom #Teamwork

So I'll start with a very broad question, and that is, you can count on, one hand the number of software companies that are really monetizing AI. It's a disappointingly short list. The good thing is that you're on that list. You and Microsoft, really. It's a very, I should say, a couple of fingers. So one obvious question, and maybe I'm teeing you up to brag a little bit, is why ServiceNow? Do you have more amazing engineers? Do you have more amazing salespeople? What is it that's enabling you to monetize your AI product? Well, everyone else except Microsoft seems to be struggling. Gina Mastantuono - Well, I think a couple things. So I think it's both of those, but I'll start on the innovation first. So we've been investing in AI for years and years, right? One of the first acquisitions that I greenlit at CFO, and I only greenlit it. I didn't bring it to me, right? So I'm not taking credit for it here, was a company called Element AI. And that company brought in with it some of the most advanced AI scientists in the world 🚀 🚀 🚀 . So we've been working on AI for so many years that, let's be clear, we were first to market with actual product that was not just a PowerPoint of what's to come, but actual product in market. Good read on improving AI outcomes.
