Your mobile app's performance is lacking. How can you meet user expectations effectively?
A few things I’ve noticed: 1.) Look for excessive round tripping. I’d start from the device to the server; though server logic often suffers from this - especially if the team used any generated frameworks. 2.) Look for dataset fetches that then iterate that set and fetch additional data. Another common pattern I’ve seen. A call to the db to grab a set of rows turns into an additional call for each row found (and sometimes more). Rewrite your query, rethink your UX, doing practically anything other than making excessive calls here will help. 3.) Cache. Understand the frequency at which the data you need mutates and cache those things you call quite often and change slowly - just be sure to break cache reliably and expire it at times.
