Here's how you can recognize when a product marketer is on the verge of burnout.
Product marketing is one of the hardest jobs. You have to combine creativity with practicality. How do you make a feature that looks mundane but delivers huge value sound differentiated without using ignorable, hyperbolic marketing-y language. Everyone wants to be blown away by how you frame the product but everyone has different preferences. Product marketers are burning out when: 1. They lose that creative edge and unique perspective. 2. They try to jam 18 ideas into one concept bc editing yourself is the hardest job. 3. They become defensive about their work vs collaborative. 4. They avoid people and groups and work in an isolated way. When I see those 4 things, I know a product marketer has lost their drive bc of burnout.

How do you personalize your product recommendations and offers based on customer behavior and preferences?
There are basically 3 purposes to innovate a product: 1) to increase Total Available Market (TAM), 2) to retain customers, and 3) to land a new customer. Customer data is the only way to reliably achieve all three purposes by making sure the intersection point of the Venn diagram has retention identified.

In the beginning, I worked with the founder by doing street ministry with kids. Eventually, he was able to secure a storefront that I was responsible for running an after-school program out of 1 day per week (others were responsible the other 4 days). We purchased and renovated a building that we now run programs out of. Presently, my role is mostly advisory. I am on the Board of Directors and provide input and insight into situations when one of the ministry leaders needs help.
