🛡️With the Software Development Attestation deadline approaching, we surveyed industry professionals at the 2024 RSA Conference to see if they were prepared. Nick Mistry SVP and CISO at Lineaje, shares surprising findings and essential compliance tips in this episode from TFiR. Nick discussed the June 11 deadline, saying that while companies providing critical software to the government are likely to meet this initial deadline, many companies may not meet even the second deadline in September. Companies must verify the security of their software supply chain, maintain software provenance, attest to the security of their build pipeline, and have a timely vulnerability disclosure program in accordance with EO 14028 by the second deadline. Because of liability concerns, it is imperative that businesses verify compliance prior to signing the attestation letter.
