Teachers working in PLCs can use a verb approach to assessment with error analysis to collaboratively focus on shared accountability for ALL students. The process of assessment as a verb, combined with collegial exploration of the information the assessment produced, aligns with my favorite PLC question: “What do the students need us to learn…..?” Teacher learning is key to increased student learning. That collegial learning builds teacher collective efficacy.

🚨 Important Update for K12 Schools The new WCAG/Title II compliance legislation requires K12 schools to ensure their web content and mobile applications meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards. Here’s what you need to know: 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀: • Large Public Entities: Schools within entities with populations of 50,000+ must comply by April 2026. • Smaller Public Entities: Schools within entities with populations less than 50,000 have until April 2027. 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: 1. Form an accessibility committee and appoint a coordinator. 2. Evaluate and prioritize all digital assets. 3. Create and adjust budgets for audits, remediation, and training. 4. Educate staff on WCAG 2.1 AA guidelines. 5. Conduct audits and prioritize remediation efforts. 6. I always enjoy Dr Philippa Hardman's substack. This week she points to some interesting data on how Instructional Designer roles are evolving. The trend toward SMEs becoming instructional designers is interesting. I see instructional design as a significantly growing field, but with more technical and SME skill than in the past (to work with AIs). It's also a general direction I see many jobs trending.
