We meet with 20 DTC and enterprise brands a month that are working with other agencies to build an influencer-affiliate channel. Here's how 90% of the convo's go: "Our agency is reaching out to 150 influencers a week..." OUCH "They're sending one email through an influencer platform using their primary domain... I've been using empathy maps a lot lately for lead gen. And they're sending conversion rates through the roof. Here's why: Revenue isn't shouting into the void anymore. People gravitate towards connections more than ever. I promise someone will choose a slightly inferior product from someone they trust over a better product from someone they don't. An empathy map helps you step into their shoes. It forces you to consider: What are they seeing? What are they hearing? What are they doing? What are they thinking? But it goes deeper. It makes you confront their: Pains - What's keeping them up at night? Gains - What results are they dreaming of? It's such a simple tool, but so effective. You stop focusing on your value prop. You start focusing on their needs. It's cost-effective. It's powerful. It's essential. We do this for every member of the buying committee. For outbound and active pipeline. The conversations become very different. The connections get way deeper. And all the revenue pains go away.  Because when you truly understand your prospect: Every word resonates. Every solution fits. Every objection melts away. That's the power of empathy in revenue generation. It moves away from closing deals. and into building trust. I’ve never really told you all what I actually do for a living, so here you go Pisgah Peaks Ventures builds & manages fractional marketing team for SMBs that are doing under 10-15 M ARR. The teams could be anywhere from 2 to 20+ individuals. Hiring for PT marketing roles can be a big drain on small businesses. You need to instead start with focused efforts that can lead to quick wins, laying the groundwork for a larger program. Here’s my recommended approach: 1️⃣ Choose a funnel stage: Pick one specific area of your funnel to improve. For instance, you might focus on the top of the funnel to increase company awareness. 2️⃣ Run a 90-day pilot program: Aim to produce 2-3 thought leadership videos within this pilot period - with the goal being to boost top-of-the-funnel awareness. (A 90-day timeframe is essential to see meaningful business results.) 3️⃣ Share the results: At the end of the 90 days, present the outcomes to your leadership team, showing the impact and lift achieved through video content.

For anyone harmed by the Neil Patel social posting frequency guidelines, the Growclass community has established a new rule that will be helpful in your healing journey. In all seriousness, telling an overworked marketer or founder that they need to post 22 times/week to optimize for success and framing that task as "actually really easy" is *insanity* and borders on gaslighting. You don't have to produce that much content to connect with your audience. *exhale* (No one wants 22 posts/week in their feeds from a SaaS company anyway.) In my calls with fellow growth marketers, I’ve found that many teams know they should be testing creatives, but aren’t sure how to get started. Here's my 6 step Creative Testing Process to help you scale to 7-figure monthly spend 👇 ___________ 1/ Create a Dedicated Creative Testing Campaign Start by setting up a dedicated campaign that mirrors your evergreen campaign. If you’re optimizing for purchases in your evergreen campaign, do the same here. 2/ Set Your Ad Set Budgets Aim for 50 conversions per week per ad set based on your average CPA. For example, if your CPA is $10, set your daily budget to $70. 3/ Structure Your Ad Set Tests Test specific variables within each ad set, e.g.: ↳ Hook: Experiment with different text headlines, visuals, or audio clips. ↳ Body: Try various scripts, music, voiceovers, or visual styles. Have 4-6 variants in one ad set, testing ONE variable! 4/ Measure Performance Evaluate your ads based on CPA after getting at least 30 conversions. Consider upper funnel metrics like link click-through rate, hook rate, and hold rate. 5/ Iterate Based on Performance Change something based on upper funnel metrics you're seeing, e.g.: ↳ High Hook Rate, Poor CPA: Keep the hook but test different body scripts or visuals. ↳ Low Hook Rate, Poor CPA: Test different hooks, headlines, and creatives. 6/ Transition Successful Ads Once an ad performs well, duplicate it (or copy Post ID) into your evergreen campaign. This keeps your main scaling campaign running smoothly with proven creatives. ___________ Why Separate Testing and Evergreen Campaigns? IMO, keeping these campaigns separate is important. High hook rates can sometimes lead to lots of clicks but low conversions. A sandbox environment makes sure these highly-engaging ads don't spend all your money at a loss. This is a flexible framework you can adjust based on your specific needs, budget, and creative production capabilities. Regularly review and tweak this process for the best results.
