I had the privilege of teaching a class with the Teacher Accelerator Program (TAP) at Miami Dade College, and it was truly rewarding. Together, we explored how their unique strengths and prior professional experiences can seamlessly translate into classroom settings. We dove into: 💪🏽How their top strengths contribute to their effectiveness as teachers. 💪🏽How skills and qualities from previous careers complement their teaching roles. 💪🏽What they’d like to work on to better serve their students. The conversation didn’t stop there. We had insightful discussions about setting healthy boundaries for balance, prioritizing self-care, tackling perfectionism, and the power of saying no.
