We realized that these services could be readily accessed by providing a community-based nurse navigation program to individuals who were experiencing any season of the cancer journey.

    Melissa tested positive for the BRCA gene mutation and underwent a risk reducing double mastectomy at age 34. In support of breast cancer awareness month, she will speak to her journey with genetic testing and the importance of prevention and early detection for all women.
