It's heartening to see how many media sites in SpeedCurve's Page Speed Benchmarks have sub-2.5s LCP times! For some of the sites with poorer LCP, perceived #webperf / #ux isn't the issue. They're fast to start render. The main culprit is that the LCP element is just wrong. The takeaway: don't just look at the numbers for your performance metrics. LOVING this somewhat new Intuit Mailchimp feature. Mailchimp will now automatically replicate your emails for you and suggest a resend to the unopeners. AND create the actual segment for you! While I don't recommend doing this for every email, this is such a nice feature when you do want to use it, because it AUTOMATICALLY creates that second send segment for you (was sent xx email and did not open xx email). Great feature! Have you used this yet?

I've long been a fan of Google when it comes to their design of physical and digital product, but their implementation of Gemini / AI has taken their already household search status to a new level. I'm genuinely so stoked to see this feature roll out. They enhanced search by showing you a relevant excert from the top result but now this takes it a step further to collate results for me in a tangible way. 👏👏 #google #userexperience #AI #gemini #search

Consumer apps and AI - I want an app that can take my bank statements for a decade, and accurately categorize my spending, and show me my actual historical budget. This should be so easy to create. Anything that can't be categorized with certainty could be "personal spending" and I'll teach the AI as we go. What consumer AI apps would you like to see? But we can't expect other to know that if it is not what they have experienced It’s on us to be more visible in the rooms we are in To show that we are not just a creative arm but a discipline that can have measurable impact Start by thinking about: - framing accountabilities based on what others actually care about - showing empathy for colleagues, other departments, execs and shareholders, not just users - dropping the Design jargon (or maybe even the word to start with) - pulling the right people into the process where it makes sense to demonstrate value We care about the same things at the end of the day We just need to make that clear in our conversations and actions! #Design #Leadership #DesignLeadership

One thing I’ve learned in CRO is that it’s not just about hitting a high conversion rate. Sometimes, seeing a lower conversion rate can actually be a good thing! Here’s how: when you get more traffic—especially from new or ‘cold’ audiences—it can bring down the rate because those visitors aren’t as likely to convert right away. So, does that mean the store’s doing worse? Not necessarily. As a CRO UX/UI designer, my role goes way beyond numbers alone. I’m focused on: 👉 Raising the Average Order Value (AOV) by designing experiences that encourage higher-value purchases. 👉 Improving customer Lifetime Value (LTV) through personalized, meaningful interactions. 👉 Helping clients understand their audience better so they can serve them better. 👉 Bringing design insights that support long-term growth With the right data, UX/UI design has the power to shape bigger business goals. I'm still thinking about Dovetail's AI release from last month... ...because I think it's one of the best examples we have of the power of agentic UX. It's not that any one feature is supremely valuable. Imagine if Dovetail had just shipped one of these features, like suggested highlights 🥱. That would have been a snooze. (This is how most companies are approaching AI UX right now.) Instead, Dovetail looked at each step of the user journey and figured out how an AI agent could pull cognitive weight 💪 from end to end. 💪 ✨ Magic Transcribe ✨ Magic Summarize ✨ Magic Highlight ✨ Magic Cluster ✨ Magic Search Yes, it makes implementation more complicated. But we know the power of a holistically designed experience: the whole becomes greater than the sum of its parts. Together, these features transform the UX from a solo SaaS endeavor into a partner-based journey. Dovetail's features are still early-stage (they acknowledge the quirks), but it gives us a vision for the future of agentic UX. And boy, do we need a collective intuition for what that looks like. Two other predictions about the agentic future of UX: 1️⃣ I don't think an AI agent has to autonomously take actions on the user's behalf to be defined as an "AI agent." Every experiences will blend autonomous actions and passive support...based on the user's comfort and difficulty of the task. 2️⃣ I don’t think it matters if the AI agent is labeled as an “agent” or if it exists as a collection of unbranded agentic features.
