Something That Worked On My Job Search I would study the company where a job was available where I knew I would be a good fit. I would spend quite some time studying the company and then I would write up 3-4 suggestions for them based on observations from my study. These suggestions were genuine ideas about how the company could grow, improve, etc. I reached out to very senior executives with those ideas via an email or sometimes via LinkedIn messages - but always an email as well. (You simply figure out what the email structure is at that company by Googling and you find the name of the senior executive like the CEO or VP, etc... and then you have a pretty good idea what their email address is) One time I sent my 3-4 ideas on the email itself. Another time I made an attractive PDF and attached it to the email. Both times I received a response. In the email, in addition to sharing the ideas, I also pointed out that I was interested in the role and asked them to help me get that first interview.
