Missed the full demo - you can catch it here! https://lnkd.in/gu2W3ABJ Existing providers and tools have layered in LLMs for generation of summaries, commonly known as Retrieval Augmented Generation (or RAG) - and that is powerful at pulling together crisp mostly-grounded summaries for questions. However, it falls short in a few ways 1. When faced with conflicting information in different sources, RAG is unable to prioritize the right source - often leading to misleading answers. 2. When generating summaries, RAG tools can hallucinate despite grounding because LLMs tend to hallucinate in order to make up gaps in source content to appear coherent and persuasive (thank you RLHF!) 3. Even with all of this, RAG tools fall short of employee expectations because employees often need to carry out a transaction after a search. eg if you are looking for time off policy, its often because you want to book time off. To build the next generation of Enterprise Search, we need a reasoning architecture that is better at query planning and source prioritization, as well as gatekeeping the generation step to suppress hallucinations. And if a business wants to ensure that the employee journey is complete end to end, they can also deploy action plugins that automate follow on tasks.
