It's that time of year! If you have exercised options, had RSU's, changed jobs during the year, or have had any other pay impacting events, now is the time to check on your withholding health! I highly recommend using the IRS Tax Withholding Estimator to see if you are on track with your federal income tax for the year.

If you receive a letter asking for additional information in order to confirm eligibility for the Employee Retention Credit, do not respond and share the letter with your tax professional for additional guidance. We have received a report stating a third party has sent out letters that appear to be from the IRS, but are in fact designed to collect sensitive information. If you receive any communication about the ERC, your tax pro can review it, verify its authenticity, and advise you of the appropriate next steps. #ERC #employeeretentioncredit
