Today’s issue of Berkshire’s weekly newsletter is worth reading. First, there are links to the Office of the Inspector General’s reporting on a review of DFA efforts to date. The USPS Office of the Inspector General (OIG) released a report titled: Oversight of the U.S. Postal Service’s Delivering for America Plan. The OIG has issued several reports on different aspects of the DFA plan. This overview is the first of a series of reports, which will be issued every six months. The OIG noted the significant work completed, but also pointed out shortfalls – including declining service levels, communications and poor financial performance. Next we have links to the latest version of the Delivering For America Transformation blueprint and update. Lastly, the USPS is seeking an advisory opinion on their anticipated service standards revisions for selective areas with an early 2025 implementation plan. The USPS is performing their due diligence by seeking input from customers, stakeholders and lastly their Oversight Body.
