I strongly urge you to review your procedures and ensure that players’ interests are protected. Issues with blocked accounts and unjustified fund withholdings require maximum transparency. I would appreciate an explanation of the reasons for your decision and specific details to understand why my rights as a player were not upheld in this case. Your actions will be discussed within the professional community and on gaming forums. I believe you would prefer to avoid the negative reputation that might result from this.

Street Craps Explained For the past several weeks I have been writing a series of articles about Casino games, and more specifically, about certain bets and ways to play them. These articles are intended primarily for those who are novice players of Casino games, or perhaps casual players who have played the games before, but may not be as familiar with these bets, or how to make them, or what they mean, and why, and how to play them. Even though I have been writing for the gaming industry, and about Casino games for 40 years now, I am still very often asked to explain aspects of Casino games, and how to play them. Especially in recent times, with the popularity of Casino gaming worldwide, as well as online Casino gaming, including here in America. Many players are simply not familiar with these games, or these particular wagers, and I have also often heard that answers to these relatively simple questions are hard to find, even on Internet search. That's because there's so much information available, that it can easily lead to information overload. And, I have also been told, that many times these explanations are just too confusing, or too long. So, in this series of articles, I have tried to simplify answers to these questions in a way in which they can be understood, even by players who may be new to these games, or to these bets, and ways to play them. While the digital channel dominates much of the conversation around gambling industry innovation, I believe there are still plenty of Big Ideas to explore on the retail casino side. I talked about one of my favorites during G2E: The Sports Resort, a new casino development paradigm that pairs the integrated casino resort model with sports entertainment. I've included the full presentation below, but in a nutshell, the story goes like this: - Vegas has proven that you can marry tier-one sports entertainment and casinos profitably and sustainably. - Sports Resorts are a compelling vehicle for bringing casinos into new jurisdictions in the U.S. (e.g., Texas) and abroad, much as the integrated resort model facilitated the opening of Macau and Singapore. - Sports stadium development is already moving toward the integrated resort model (i.e., full-spectrum entertainment districts activated 365 days a year). - We're entering a wave of redevelopment as many U.S. sports stadiums are nearing the end of their useful lives. - At the same time, opposition to public financing of stadiums appears to be accelerating, creating a funding void that can be filled by including a casino component. I expect this to be one of the defining industry topics in the years ahead for Vegas, the U.S., and perhaps the international market as well.

The Gambling Commission has announced widespread changes aimed at increasing safety and customer choice. The changes, consistent with the Government’s White Paper High stakes: gambling reform for the digital age (opens in new tab), include reducing intensity of online games, improving consumer choice over receiving gambling marketing, light-touch financial vulnerability checks and tightening processes to support age verification checks in premises. When casino dealers go rogue! Dealers' tips, a game changer but who wins? Two Las Vegas downtown casinos, Binion’s and its sister property Four Queens, are letting their dealers keep their own tips in a changed policy. Most common in Las Vegas casinos is to pool the tips as It helps distribute evenly to those working quieter shifts or low end tables. Binion’s has been running the policy for about three months, while Four Queens will start it at the end of the month. The group director of casino operations said the properties, chose to switch because they found casino dealers would earn more. That should read - 'Some' will earn more and 'some' will earn less. I loved working for tips and have worked in some casinos that pay salaries only from the tips. I'm an accurate dealer at a speed fast enough to trigger the adrenaline rush in the players but vary the pace to empathize with those on a losing streak. I get into each of their mindset and take into account every players betting pattern and style of play. Always thinking ahead reminding those who may of forgotten a bet, who prefers larger denominations or more smaller chips and need a little extra time to place their bets but not to negatively impact the game productivity. Regular or return players are given sufficient recognition and humour so not to cross the line of professionalism but enough if needed to hand back any late bets without dramatically upsetting anyone. Every payout is announced personally to each player and made with eye contact and each tip received is thanked genuinely. I earned a lot of tips, always more than colleagues and was a favoured dealer by pit managers also on the tip point. Watching other dealers around me demotivated me sometimes. Well, actually a lot. A majority just going through the minimum effort, or hustle for tips almost to the point of begging or blackmail. Others offering no recognition or any concern if the player tipped or not. However, had I kept my own I would have been one of the highest earners in the casino. That would have suited me but not the bigger picture. It would be so simple to become tip centric only. Brush off and alienate small players or non-tippers, let players dictate the speed of the games and forget my role as an employee and service provider. The casinos might find the dealers going rogue and just doing their own thing.
