“I had the privilege of working collaboratively with Kristen as we team-coached groups of health care leaders in a province-wide leadership development program. She is one of those rare people who seems to be good at absolutely everything and rather than be jealous of all that she innately has and worked hard to cultivate, you merely want to be around her more because she makes you better. Yes she’s a physician, an elite athlete, a C-suite executive, an entrepreneur, a mother and an executive coach but she’s so much more than these impressive credentials and lived experiences. Kristen is truly a magnificent person and an incredible blend of so many outstanding qualities. I will speak to just three here. Brilliance in Utilizing the Evidence in Practical Ways. Kristen is a reservoir of knowledge in so many fields, a polymath of sorts. She stays current on the latest research and summons the perfect nugget to underscore what is needed at just the right time. It’s mind-blowing. Remarkable Listening Ability. Kristen makes you feel seen by her unmatched ability to actively listen. You feel like you’re the only person in the world when Kristen is listening to you. She also asks terrific questions to ensure she fully understands. She demonstrates her tremendous empathy and compassion through this skill. I’ve seen her summarize long and seemingly disconnected thoughts into an articulate and concise synopsis; multiple times. It truly is a super power. Innovation and Creativity matched with Getting Things Done. Often those who are innovative aren’t capable of execution; Kristen is. She’s not afraid to take risks in the spirit of her own growth and learning. When Kristen commits to something, you can breathe easy knowing that it’s as good as done. Kristen is authentic and generous with praise and humble despite her tremendous talents. She is just a genuinely gifted person and it’s a joy to know her.”
