Very interesting article on the changing face of AI. The core of this changing approach is that the AI models are being tuned to the specific needs of the industry or domain so they become more contextually aware.

I had an incredible time presenting at the session on "How Microsoft Can Help You Build and Sell Differentiated AI Apps" at #MSIgnite. We delved into the transformative potential of #AI, likening its impact to past technological revolutions like the steam engine and electricity. AI is truly a game-changer, and it's exciting to see how it will continue to revolutionize our world.    One of the highlights was discussing how AI is democratizing technology, making it accessible to everyone. From Siemens' natural language copilot for factory workers to Visier Inc.’s Gen AI journey enabling them to roll out solutions to enterprise customers and partners, the possibilities are endless. It's amazing to see how AI is being used for good and making a real difference in people's lives.    We also emphasized the importance of growth and retention in the #SaaS model. Expanding revenue through new channels and retaining customers are essential strategies for success. Multi-Agentic systems like #Autogen have the potential to revolutionize the way Agents, Humans, and #Robots collaborate and work as a team. By leveraging #GenerativeAI, robots can engage in complex workflows, providing instructions in #naturallanguage and utilizing #LLMs to determine the most appropriate actions. This integration allows robots to understand and execute tasks with a high degree of autonomy, while still being able to interact seamlessly with human counterparts. The synergy between these entities can lead to more efficient and effective operations, as robots can handle repetitive or hazardous tasks, freeing up humans to focus on more strategic and creative endeavors. This harmonious blend of technology and human ingenuity can drive innovation and productivity to new heights. #ComposableAI plays a crucial role in this ecosystem. Composable AI refers to the ability to create AI systems by connecting smaller, independent “agents” or robots. Each of these agents/robots can handle specific tasks, and they can be combined like building blocks to form more complex #AI applications. This modular approach allows for greater flexibility and scalability, enabling organizations to tailor AI solutions to their unique needs and easily adapt to changing requirements. Did you hear it? But did you? AI is in the hype cycle no doubt, and everyone likes using words to try and capture the wave of change and opportunity, put the positive spin on it...and there is a lot to be positive about. Yet we need to understand all facets of the change. Huang and McDermott were asked a direct question about the upheaval taking place in the gaming industry, and the large displacement of programmers. Fortt even pointed out the irony of this industry giving birth to "Nvidia 1.0" and now being disrupted by the evolution of Nvidia into AI. I have a great deal of respect for both of these leaders, but neither of them answered the question. No one wants to be in the press saying, "Yeah, some people will be displaced." A Gartner report conservatively put the potential displacement at 10s of millions of jobs in the next few years. Just as the steam engine, printing press, and combustion engine revolutionized, eliminated, and created jobs, so too will AI...most likely on a much larger scale. And while most are focusing on the productivity gains in tech, or the new robotics advancements...look beyond the hype, slow the slipstream, and think about the implications. There is an unprecedented opportunity to leverage technology to augment business models and the way humans work. (Just look at the work of 🔮Kes Sampanthar ✨ and Scott Wolfson as a data point. I highly recommend Kes' Substack @thecentaurian) A big part of the challenge will be the individuals, the employee's willingness, ability, and focus on doing what they need to do to stay relevant. So my question is...are you ready to seize the opportunity? Excited to see where it all goes!

As we continue to advance sustainability, I've learned that the key ingredients include partnerships, collaboration, and innovation. Microsoft's Climate Innovation Fund is a one of my favorite examples of how we do this. It’s inspiring to meet some of the remarkable organizations that are making a difference in tackling critical climate challenges. A few that we got to chat with during our most recent Climate Innovation Fund Summit are:   - New Sun Road, P.B.C. is accelerating renewable energy deployment.  - Utilidata is enhancing the flexibility of our distribution grid.  - SustainCERT is focused on scaling the credibility of carbon credits through digital verification.    And there are many more companies and funds we get to work with as investors, buyers, and through establishing technology and go to market partnerships to accelerate adoption and scale.  Learn more below!
