Common wisdom suggests employing a range of tools for tracking campaign metrics, yet one must approach this with caution. Variances in how KPIs and metrics are defined across different platforms can lead to inconsistencies. This is evident even among tools from the same ecosystem, such as Google Ads versus Google Analytics. Therefore, it's wise to establish a primary, most trustworthy data source as your 'source of truth'. Finally, despite significant advancements in attribution models in recent years, I remain skeptical about their reliability.
