    Vineyards Growing Veggies, Paso Robles, CA

    Poverty Alleviation

    Potentially utilizing the land and resources a winery could provide, I conceived of and co-founded the concept of Vineyards Growing Veggies with the goal to grow edible food on fallow land for the sole purpose of giving it to local food banks for those in need. Along with winery owners, Cindy Steinbeck and her family, we (along with dozens of volunteers) planted one acre of land with veggies and fruit tress delivering over 20,000 pounds of fresh foods to SLO Food Bank in the three year period…

    Urban Farming Food Chain - Edible Wall Project in Downtown LA

    Poverty Alleviation

    Assisted the Director of Development in the acquisition of sponsors for the Edible Wall Project to grow and provide fresh organic foods for the needy in downtown LA. Solicited and acquired Cal Poly Agriculture and Architecture students to grow over 4000 plants that would be installed vertically on four walls, 6' x 30', in downtown LA.

    Direct to Consumer Wine Symposium

    Participated in developing, programing and organizing an Annual 2-day Symposium dedicated to educating the US wine community and wine marketers how to sell wine direct to consumers with proceeds going to Free the Grapes...a non-profit organization dedicated to lobbying the Federal Government to allow direct wine sales. Each year consisted of developing session content, soliciting session participants as well as sponsors.
