🏆 This past week has been exciting at Democracy Prep, filled with consistent wins and inspiring experiences! From our speech team showing strongly at our first city tournament to our Bronx Prep theater kiddos witnessing and fully engulfed in a Broadway show, we’ve been cultivating something special: a culture of practice (as I call it exercise), excellence, and exposure to better experiences. 1️⃣ Exercise: Our team's success is rooted in dedicated, intentional practice. It’s more than repetition; it’s about raising the bar and striving for personal growth. It can be cliche to say, but… never stop learning! Especially after an accomplishment, it’s important to have that next goal. I learned a lot during this course with the Cowin Financial Literacy Institute at the Teachers College at Columbia University about how to design and implement engaging and interactive lessons.
