Charlotte is a city of unbelievable talent and smart leaders. I had the honor and pleasure to lead a workshop on personal branding for a room full of our city’s brightest corporate and community leaders who are in the 2024-2025 African American Leadership Academy of Charlotte last week. They are all doing fantastic things in their organizations and for Charlotte, so we focused on how to tell their story so that they could have greater impact and influence in their fields and with the people they serve. So why would people this amazing need a personal brand? 💡 82% of customers trust a company when their senior management members are active on social media. (Harvard & Edelman) 💡 65% of consumers say that a brand’s CEO and employees influence their decision to buy (Accenture) 💡 60% of consumers in the United States based their purchasing decisions on the company’s executives’ values, words, and actions (Accenture) Bottom Line… Executives with a strong personal brand increase the organization's bottom line and impact. And it was a bonus that I got to sit in on a few of the other sessions led by Harvey Gantt, Linda Lockman-Brooks, Angela H. Woods, JD MBA CMC, Keva Walton, and JT Saunders.
