We all like seeing shiny, new asphalt. It’s a sign that our cities and counties are at work. What if we could keep the asphalt in good condition for longer??? Keep in mind that the 2 main components of asphalt are asphaltenes and maltenes. Asphaltenes provide the body and color for the asphalt while maltenes are the “glue” that holds the road together. It’s the maltenes that make the difference in asphalt road longevity. So, how are you maintaining your roads and their maltene content? Let’s grab a coffee virtually or in-person and chat. If you are one of the lucky few, your paving budget has increased to meet rising asphalt prices. Most cities and counties are not so lucky. What if you could maintain the same budget yet pave twice as many streets? Option #1   You mill and asphalt overlay 10 miles and treat the streets in poor condition (PCI scores 30 - 60).  Option #2 You PressurePave 20 miles and treat streets in poor to moderate condition (PCI scores 40 and above).
