Hurricane Milton, following hurricane Helena disaster General Michael Mick Webster United States civil defense association Florida is once again in the crosshairs of a major hurricane, this time with Hurricane Milton—a storm that’s drawing attention for its “unusual” trajectory and potential to wreak havoc on the state’s west coast. Forecasters are raising alarms as Milton, currently a Category 1 hurricane, could rapidly intensify before making landfall near Tampa Bay on Wednesday. The storm comes on the heels of Hurricane Helene, which struck less than two weeks ago, leaving behind widespread destruction. Recovery efforts from Helene are still underway, but the state is now racing to brace for another potentially catastrophic blow. Milton’s path is highly concerning due to its rare west-to-east approach directly from the Gulf of Mexico. This type of trajectory is not typical for hurricanes in the region, as most storms tend to veer north along the coast. According to AccuWeather’s chief meteorologist Jonathan Porter, Milton’s unusual path has raised significant red flags, as this kind of storm pattern has been recorded only a handful of times—most notably in the 19th century. The National Hurricane Center has already warned that life-threatening storm surges and damaging winds are likely, with potential impacts beginning late Tuesday. While forecasters have not yet determined the exact strength Milton will reach upon landfall, there’s a growing consensus that it could intensify into a “major” hurricane before it strikes. Governor Ron DeSantis has extended a state of emergency to 51 of Florida’s 67 counties, including major metropolitan areas like Tampa, Miami, and Orlando. In a statement on Sunday, DeSantis emphasized the challenges the state faces with back-to-back storms, noting that National Guard units are being mobilized for round-the-clock operations to both clear debris from Helene and prepare for Milton’s arrival

United States Security Challenges at the Border In a recent alarming disclosure, top leaders of the United States Border Patrol have revealed that the nation is facing an unprecedented surge of threats from terrorist groups and other hostile actors. The situation, described by officials as "under siege," underscores the urgent need for significant adjustments to America's national security strategies. According to high-ranking officials who wished to remain anonymous, the United States is currently grappling with emerging dangers from several international actors, notably China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran, not to mention the Mexican cartels. These officials highlighted the increasing presence of Islamist extremists within the USA. Just for statistics, back in 2020, Islamic jihadists and other organizations, both known and 'getaways,' estimated to be numbered under 100. Today, we believe that number has increased by 40% or more. Ensuring the security of our borders with warnings is crucial for the protection of the homeland." However, the border patrol's ability to focus on these threats is being hampered by the burden of processing and managing the influx of approximately 11 million illegal aliens who have crossed the borders. This has diverted critical resources away from addressing the security risks posed by terrorist groups. The officials stressed the importance of vigilance in protecting American interests, particularly given the dangerous instability in Mexico. They warned that violence is likely to escalate, posing an even greater threat to the average American citizen. Growing Foreign Influence The discussion also turned to the growing influence of China within the United States. China's ambitious infrastructure projects, under the guise of business ownership, including farms, ranches, property, harbor docks, ocean lines, and other critical assets, have raised concerns. The Border Patrol expressed wariness about the potential long-term implications of China’s expanding presence near many of the country's strategic military installations. There are lingering questions about the ultimate goals behind establishing a permanent economic base in the US and whether it could project hard-power capabilities deep within the homeland. Russia, too, has come under stern scrutiny. Moscow's increasingly brazen attempts to infiltrate US harbors and seas have been noted. Vladimir Putin's strategy appears to be exploiting vulnerabilities exacerbated by internal strife, thereby solidifying Kremlin control networks stretching from Mali to South Sudan and now off US coastlines with battle group consisting of nuclear subs, aircraft carrier .The shadows of China, Russia, Iran, North Korea, and other hostile entities loom large over United States security. Collaboration with Criminal Organizations Compounding the threat, al-Qaeda and its affiliates have formed alliances with many Mexican drug cartels.

Violent gangs and terrorist entering our country illegally Syndicated investigating reporter, Michael, Mick Webster The illegal entry of gang members and terrorists into the U.S. poses a grave threat to national security and public safety. This issue has escalated significantly in recent years, with an estimated 1 million gang members and suspected terrorists crossing into the U.S. illegally. Gangs like MS-13 and the 18th Street Gang, originating from Central America, have intensified criminal activity in the country. Their involvement in drug trafficking, human smuggling, extortion, and violent crime has reached alarming levels, threatening public safety in numerous U.S. communities. The violent tactics of these gangs, including machete attacks and human trafficking, have increased the strain on law enforcement agencies and endangered ordinary citizens. Gang-related murders, drug trafficking, and human trafficking cases have spiked in key states, while law enforcement struggles to contain the escalating violence. The threat is not limited to gangs. Members of terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda, ISIS, and Hezbollah have exploited weaknesses in the U.S. immigration system, infiltrating the country with the potential to carry out terrorist attacks or establish sleeper cells. These individuals, coming from high-risk countries for terrorism like Iran, Afghanistan, and Pakistan, further heighten national security concerns. The infiltration of these criminal elements poses several dangers, including rising violent crime, drug and human trafficking, and the risk of terrorist attacks. Moreover, terrorist organizations may radicalize or recruit vulnerable individuals, deepening the threat to U.S. society. To combat these threats, the U.S. must enhance border security, improve immigration screening, and bolster intelligence and law enforcement coordination. At-risk communities must also be strengthened through economic investment and social services to prevent the growth of gang influence and reduce crime. Without decisive action, the country risks long-term destabilization and increased violence

Foreign Gang Taking Over By Michael Mick Webste Foreign gang members entering the United States illegally are often referred to as "getaways," a term used to describe individuals who cross the border illegally with the intention of evading detection. These individuals might be involved in various criminal activities, including human trafficking, drug smuggling, and other illegal enterprises. Here's a breakdown of how their presence affects these issues: Human Trafficking: Gangs often use illegal entry routes to facilitate human trafficking. They exploit migrants by promising safe passage but then force them into various forms of exploitation, such as labor or sex trafficking. The gangs can use their networks to control and transport victims, leveraging their criminal connections to evade law enforcement. Drug Smuggling: Gangs involved in drug trafficking, including those linked to Mexican drug cartels, use illegal entry points to smuggle narcotics into the U.S. For instance, fentanyl, a powerful synthetic opioid, is often transported by these gangs. They may exploit the same routes used for human trafficking, making it challenging for border enforcement to distinguish between different forms of illegal activity. Violence and Crime: The presence of gang members can increase violence in areas where they operate. They may engage in criminal activities such as drug distribution, violent confrontations with rival gangs, or other forms of organized crime. This often results in heightened local crime rates and public safety concerns. Impact on Border Security: The presence of gangs complicates border security efforts. Law enforcement agencies face the challenge of identifying and targeting criminal organizations while managing the flow of people and goods. The overlap of drug trafficking and human smuggling complicates interdiction and investigation efforts. Overall, the involvement of foreign gang members in illegal entry into the U.S. exacerbates the challenges associated with human trafficking, drug smuggling, and related crimes, impacting both law enforcement efforts and community safety. IN THE MIDST OF THE HURRICANE Grrrrrrrhhsssss, Boink, Grrrrrrrhhsssss, Grrrrrrrhhsssss, Boink, Boink! I wake up, it is pitch dark, all light goes out, the fan stops. I look at my phone, pfff it's 4.11am! According to the weather reports, the hurricane Beryl would be the most violent between 4 AM and 6 AM in Playa del Carmen. And here it is! The hurricane at midnight was 455 km from Tulum, still a category 3 hurricane, estimated at 7 p.m. It is 260 km from Tulum that has already been degraded as category 2 with wind of 165 km /hr, it is expected that when entering the peninsula it will deteriorate to category 1 by wind of 130 km /hr. Outside it’s stormy, the wind is blowing like crazy hard with ditto rain, and it seems as if there is a whole lot of furniture on the roof terrace moving from the left to the right. I'm worried and wonder if I should go and see. The owner of the house had warned me to carefully open the door to the roof terrace, because of the power of the wind you could suddenly stand with only the door handle in your hands. Uuffff, what should I do now! This was also my first time to experience a hurricane. No idea what I would find. At some point again, Grrrrrrrhhsssss, Boink, Grrrrrrrhhsssss, Grrrrrrrhhsssss, Boink, Boink! It was now 5 o'clock, I thought and now I'm going to check the roof terras. Just in the middle of the hurricane, literally and with me the hurricane on the inside, the fear of going to roofterras, I breakthrough my own fear! Being afraid and uncertain because I had never experienced a hurricane before and had difficulty assessing what it would do to me! Especially when I got to the door of roof terrace would open properly, besides the fact, what would I find there? Was the whole gym wiped out, or what was going on? What was that clapping and banging? The moment of letting go and taking a risk is how you create a new future, but also your direction and especially letting go of your old behavior. Stepping in a new experience, I love to find it out, this continues learning, you got to do it, until you die...😜 Choose a different behavior as a reaction in the middle of that inner hurricane, even if you are mega triggered, only then can you choose a new direction. If you can't do that, you will continue to create these experiences from your past and you will remain disappointed with your future AND your results! Now you can think, ahh okay! Thank you, I'll think about it next time. Well, unfortunately it doesn't work like that, because you don't notice when you put such a behavior down. I speak so many women every week, and I notice that they continue to sabotage their own lives, but seek help, hooo no! Invest, no thank you! I don’t have time, yeah you know, if you keep on doing that, you never going to clean up your shit from the past, draging it with you, and your are definatly not being able to alchemize this shit into gold. When was your last moment in your own hurricane?

Photo: The Second Class Saloon Nome, AK. July 1st, 1901 The "Three Lucky Swedes" – Jafet Lindeberg, Erik Lindblom, and John Brynteson – who stumbled upon a lucrative gold deposit on Anvil Creek in 1898 ignited a frenzied gold rush to the area. Word of this extraordinary find swiftly traversed the Klondike gold fields during that winter, leading to the establishment of Anvil City by 1899, a settlement that proudly housed a population of 10,000. However, the real excitement was yet to unfold. In 1899, rumors circulated about gold concealed in the beach sands, attracting the world"s attention beyond. This triggered a massive stampede, with thousands of fortune seekers going to Nome from distant ports like Seattle and San Francisco. The landscape transformed as tents sprouted across the vast expanse, stretching along the 30-mile stretch between Cape Rodney and Cape Nome. Driven by determination, Pioneers began constructing structures from finished board lumber as early as 1899. The zenith of Nome"s bustling mining town occurred in the early 1900s, marking its ascendancy as Alaska"s largest city. While estimates suggested a population of 20,000, the official 1900 record reported an impressive figure of 12,488. Notably, one-third of all recorded white inhabitants of Alaska called Nome home, as per the U.S. Census. Unfortunately, the grandeur of Nome"s gold rush architecture was marred by the ravages of fire and the fury of violent storms. Little remains of that captivating era today, but the surviving remnants bear traces of the ornate Victorian style that charmed many during the gold rush. Presently, the resilient inhabitants of Nome have diversified their livelihoods, no longer dependent solely on gold panning and rocking. The legacy of the gold rush endures, albeit as a fraction of the vibrant tapestry that comprises Nome"s captivating history. Over the past century, a rich flow of people and events has shaped the contemporary community of Nome. Explore more about the historic Nome to delve deeper into its intriguing past. Secret Service Director Kim Cheatle recently addressed the nation following the shocking assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump. During an interview with ABC News, Cheatle took responsibility for the incident, stating firmly that the “buck stops with me.” Despite calls for her resignation, Cheatle made it clear that she has no intention of stepping down from her role as the head of the Secret Service. In her interview, Cheatle condemned the assassination attempt as “unacceptable” and emphasized the need for a comprehensive review to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. She acknowledged the key role of the Secret Service in ensuring the safety of high-profile individuals like former President Trump and reiterated her commitment to providing necessary resources to personnel. Cheatle also shed light on the events leading up to the assassination attempt, revealing that local law enforcement had encountered the would-be assassin just moments before the shots were fired at Trump. Despite the close proximity of the shooter to the building where the attack took place, Cheatle emphasized the collaborative efforts between the Secret Service and local police in securing the perimeter and responding to the threat. Following the incident, sources criticized the Secret Service’s approach to protection details, raising concerns about the effectiveness of their security measures. AWR Hawkins, a prominent Second Amendment columnist and political analyst, highlighted potential flaws in the Secret Service’s response to the assassination attempt, calling for a reevaluation of their protective protocols. As the nation grapples with the aftermath of this brazen attack on a former president, Cheatle’s leadership and the Secret Service’s handling of security threats remain under scrutiny. The need for robust measures to safeguard high-profile figures from potential harm has never been more apparent as calls for accountability and reassessment echo across the political landscape. Cheatle is expected to testify before Congress this coming Monday. See more at Michael Webster‘s blog.

I thought the furor over Peanut the Squirrel happened because the election had everyone on their last nerve. But no, the burn over the local government’s decision to seize and euthanize the ‘pet’ because of the rabies risk continues to smolder. Healthy Trailer LLC's most recent carrier newsletter focused on this story, not because of the legality or prudence over keeping wildlife as a pet or because of the overt actions of the local government that is now struggling to defend its actions. The ‘thread’ we pulled from under the main storyline was that this situation started when neighbors complained. They observed something they disapproved of, and then the problem escalated from a neighborhood ‘spat’ to a national controversy. If something like this has not happened to you or your business, it may. What seems private becomes public in a short period of time, and the consequences can end up being negligible or irreparable. Brand, reputation, legal issues, customer loss, and governmental intrusion are all possible when people notice, dislike/disagree, and go public with their opinions. Healthy Trailer LLC's short version of some tactics that won’t eliminate the risk of public scrutiny but may keep in check: 1. Don’t keep a pet squirrel in your house. 2. Think about where your business intersects and interacts with the public. Take prompt, professional action rather than ignore issues. 3. Assign someone the responsibility to monitor your social channels to ensure that comments align with your company’s values and operational realities. 4. Utilize conversation opportunities with your customers to check in on what they might be hearing about your company. Like #3, treat bad news like good, helpful news to manage the public perception proactively. 5. Keep this an ongoing conversation with your teams, and encourage them to share ‘news’ about your company, good and bad. Support the people bringing things to your attention and involve them in crafting solutions. People these days… 😕

As the American political landscape changes again as President Biden demonstrates the humility and true leadership expected of a leaders and officially drops out of the race, we see the exact opposite from the convicted felon, Trump. President Biden has put the nation first, after having dragged America back from the edge of destruction that the mobster boss Trump created in his term in office. Under Trump's criminal leadership, the US suffered a major failure of leadership during Covid, a major security breaches, and multiple criminal actions taken in office, as well as leading an insurrection against the legal system of the US. Trump offers the US a return to fascism not seen in the world since 1940s Europe; thankfully Europe understands the threat that Trump brings and is moving to protect itself from a potential Trump America. While President Biden pulls out of the run due to potential health issues that may not make him physically fit to lead for another 4 years, criminal Trump has been proven, by a nation's justice system, of being a convicted criminal, and also convicted of sexual abuse. This clearly shows that, as an individual he is unfit to lead a business, never mind a nation. The Democratic party now needs to rally around the new candidate and highlight that, under Trump, media investigations and research have shown that the only part of America that will become great will be the lackeys that fund Trump's pockets. https://lnkd.in/emhGcvkz

Securing America's Future: NORAD's Response to Emerging Threats By Michael Mick Webster Despite the decisive actions taken after 9/11, many Americans find it difficult to fathom the possibility of another catastrophic event on US soil. The US military's successful operations in Afghanistan, including the toppling of the Taliban regime and the elimination of Al-Qaeda's founder, provided a sense of security. However, recent developments have compelled authorities to revisit their defense strategies with urgency. A startling threat looms large, one that experts warn could potentially devastate up to 90% of the US population within mere months. This alarming prospect has prompted the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) to take swift and decisive action. Notably, NORAD has initiated the relocation of critical assets back inside Cheyenne Mountain, a facility renowned for its strategic resilience. This decision is accompanied by a substantial investment exceeding $700 million aimed at further fortifying Cheyenne Mountain against emerging threats. The decision to bolster Cheyenne Mountain's defenses underscores the seriousness of the perceived threat and NORAD's commitment to ensuring national security. Historically, Cheyenne Mountain has served as a crucial defense hub, offering unparalleled protection against airborne and missile threats. Its reinforced structure and advanced capabilities position it as a vital asset in safeguarding against modern-day risks. Moreover, NORAD's proactive measures reflect a broader national security strategy designed to preemptively address evolving threats. The investment in Cheyenne Mountain not only enhances its physical defenses but also integrates cutting-edge technologies to detect and neutralize potential dangers swiftly. While the memory of 9/11 remains etched in the national psyche, the evolving security landscape necessitates continuous adaptation and preparedness. NORAD's initiative to reinforce Cheyenne Mountain exemplifies a proactive approach to mitigating risks and protecting American lives. As threats evolve, so too must our defenses, ensuring that the lessons of history guide our unwavering commitment to national security and resilience. This strategic investment reaffirms America's resolve to safeguard its citizens and uphold its role as a global leader in security and defense

Be in the know before you go. Few tips if you ever drive into or near any major storm situation. • Have more than one plan • Realize you may not be able to find or buy fuel or other truck needs like a tire • Keep a case of water in your truck • Keep non perishable food in your truck enough for a week or more. • Let your family and close friends know where your as often as possible • You may not have cell phone or internet So think about any other ways you might be able to be found. • It might be spotty service for your ELD but might offer a way to communicate • Keep a paper logbook even if you gave an ELD. • Write your emergency contact information with permanent marker on something water proof and tape securely to your truck cab interior where emergency services can see easily. Like upper corner of your windshield or inside your driver’s door near the handle. • Keep extra cash with you perhaps a few hundred dollars if credit or fuel cards systems are down. Don’t try to alway be the hero protect yourself 1st Sincerely Gary. 🙏🏻🙏🏻 https://lnkd.in/gxhEBEdx

I.S is considering designating Mexican drug cartels as an international terrorist organization By Michael Webster syndicated investigative reporter The assertion that U.S. military weapons are finding their way into the hands of Mexican drug cartels is substantiated by several reports. U.S. firearms, including military-grade weapons, are frequently smuggled into Mexico, where they endlessly up with cartels, exacerbating the violence and instability in the region. The ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) has traced many of these weapons back to U.S. origins . Furthermore, the relationship between Mexican drug cartels and terrorist organizations is a growing concern. There are reports and allegations of Mexican cartels training terrorists and collaborating with existing terror cells within the United States. This alliance is viewed as a significant threat to U.S. national security, with implications for both regional stability and internal security (RAND Policy Analysis).
