If you want to grow the pie, change the fruit! Golf hasn't really changed in over 100 years, it's still a ball, a club & hole game. The golf ball dictates the two biggest issues limiting growth, the distance of the course and the time to play, not to mention the overall difficulty of the game! So, if you want to offer a greater variance for growth, proportionally limit the distance of the ball to match the smaller course, which will shorten the time to play "economizing" the game to today's standards. Short but nonetheless cool article about AMBSE and their perspective on their CEP strategy. I think they were early to see the app as much more than just a content tool, similar to how we viewed it. I find it really interesting to now be able to sit back and watch technology trends unfold over years, even decades. Not long ago, companies were spending millions on websites, redesigning them repeatedly without any data—simply because a new person came in with fresh ideas. Then came social media. Who needs a website? Facebook is our website! Huge investments went into building an audience on social platforms, only for those platforms to later decide how much access you would have to your own customers. Now, we’re swinging back to brands wanting to own the relationship with their customers. At the end of the day, growing a brand starts with super fans. If you can't reach them, engage with them, and provide an amazing experience in both the digital and physical worlds, growth is unlikely. ALL ABOUT WOMEN'S GOLF! We are looking for companies, designers, creators, manufacturers and distributors in the golf industry who want to promote their products to thousands of women who play golf. According to the National Golf Foundation, from 2020 to 2022, more than 800,000 women in America took up the sport, bringing the total to 6.4 million female golfers. While the number of female golfers rose about 15 percent, the male golf pool increased by just 2 percent during that same time frame. In 2019-2020, the number of women golfers was 22% of the industry players, and in 2021, that number rose to 25% and today has reached almost 33%. Between 2014 and 2021, female golfers' spending on golf goods surged by more than 66%. Experts say the numbers are considerably higher now with no signs of slowing. Young girls are learning to play at increasing rates, while women in their 50s and 60s are taking up the game for the first time. My goal is to continue growing the game for women with the LPGA Amateur Golf Association—Myrtle Beach. My greater goal is to connect with creators, designers, manufacturers and distributors of equipment, apparel, and accessories to promote your products to thousands of women golfers who live and play in the Myrtle Beach area and the millions of women who visit. Myrtle Beach is the golf capital of the world, with 17.6 million visitors in 2023. As per the Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, visitors spent $10.1 billion on retail trade, and of that, $59.6 million was spent playing golf. I am working on a project that will bring women from all over the U.S. together and captivate them with all the good things in golf. Impact Sports is working to protect youth athletes from concussion and traumatic brain injury. Weve designed and tested tackle as well as soft shell helmets that outperform top selling helmets on the market. Our technology is patented and performs unlike any helmet on the market. With "off the shelf" materials, we were able to outperform the VICIS zero one in FE Testing. VICIS blew through tens of millions of dollars to get to that point. We did it in 3 years and spent $250,000. With that said, raising money to move forward has been tough. We'd love to hear your suggestions/referrals for anybody interested in joining us as we work to better protect athletes. *****This is one test, at 18 ft/sec. The lower the SI, or severity Index, the better. Max "passing" score is 1200 (very poor score). This would qualify us for a 5 star helmet.....and we didn't test our "game ready" materials!

What do a youth lacrosse tournament and your company's interview process have in common? Simplicity is a valuable tool! Saturday morning, I went to watch my son’s lacrosse game at a venue that was about an hour away. Anyone with kids in youth sports know that these programs and events have become big business. The events can be day long or even weekend long events and the way the event is organized is critical to the experience. When we got to the venue Saturday morning, I saw a line of about 50 people waiting at the gate which would be normal if I was arriving 20 minutes before kickoff of my beloved Buffalo Bills. …….but for a high school lacrosse tournament at 9 AM on a Saturday?  I knew something was wrong. You see the organizers set up admission to be “cashless” only taking digital payments with tickets required to be purchased through an online ticketing app. But – The didn’t give anyone advance notice that admission was digital only The cell service for the venue was terrible The people working admissions were not trained on how to actually validate tickets once they were purchased through the app. It was a total disaster and while the easy fix was just to accept cash for admission, they refused to change the policy making for angry parents, and frustrated volunteers. As I was standing there in a race with everyone else to get a cell signal to purchase my ticket I thought about how this situation was so similar to so many job interviews. Long, drawn out interview processes can become exceedingly frustration for candidates and provide a poor experience.
