Snowflake launched two new features today to help customers use their platform safely. 1) allowing Admins to Enforce Mandatory MFA and 2) the GA launch of Snowflake Trust Center to give a place for admins to monitor the adherence to MFA policies. Mandatory MFA is critical for any SaaS app to be used safely. Password harvesting/reuse/stuffing provides a direct vector to the data that you store in a SaaS app. Glad to see it's coming to Snowflake Their trust center gives admins the flexibility to start their MFA enrollment process with a warning step, or jump right to enforcing MFA for all users. Thank you for releasing this feature for free with all versions. Safety isn't a place for an upsell. What an amazing few days at #SnowflakeSummit2024. A huge thank you to all our UK customers and partners that travelled to San Francisco for the week with Snowflake. Also a massive thank you to our amazing Marketing team for putting on yet another tremendous event. It was amazing to see the new announcements and how Snowflake's architecture is revolutionising AI applications; Iceberg tables are now in GA, Polaris Catalog is now available to support open storage architectures and we are adding an Internal Marketplace along with more AI governance to Snowflake Horizon. These were just a few of the many announcements. With our best-in-class enterprise data foundation and its ability to unlock interoperability with open data and internal collaboration we have exciting times ahead as we unlock the power of the "AI Data Cloud". Thank you Databricks for hosting our folks at the Data+AI Summit. The team has been so excited to attend. The topics shared at the event reminded me of a Databricks article from 2021 that celebrated the progress of Arrow: “Apache Arrow has recently become the de-facto standard for columnar in-memory data analytics, and is already adopted by a plethora of open-source projects.” (Read it here: https://lnkd.in/gUEcsgRZ) Arrow recently crossed the 1 BILLION annual download mark.
