It's Bitcoin 2024 in Nashville, right? Guess what: 145,000 “people” were watching. 🤯 Plot twist: If you look closer, the video is AI generated... ...streamed from a fake account with 1M fake followers. This is wild. 🤯 And this is just the beginning. Here’s why: AI enables anyone: 1.  to create an army of fake people, 2.  to create fake videos that seem real, with fake people saying real things (aka “deep fakes”) 3.  and spread this to 100s of millions of people on social media. Fast forward to today, AI tools enable a single person to create an army of AI bots to shape public opinion, spread misinformation or divisive content. Are you getting it? Today, we have no tools to verify information online. This means that we have no accountability for spreaders of misinformation. And most of all: We have no common understanding of “truth”. The Zombie Chain Curse... Something that happens often in the blockchain world. Some devs create a chain to do something they think is neat. They market the hell out of it, and it's less than stellar (no pun intended) and interest falls off a cliff. From the investor side, we're getting more eyes on things now with Wall Street shilling our bags for us, but this is still the wild west over here. The quickest way people make instant retirement windfalls on these things is being as early as possible to something that ends up being successful. But how do you know if you're buying a winner or you're not? Unless you're part of the twitter influencer pump and dump cabal that uses their followers as exit liquidity, you don't 😌 You simply have to rely on your research of the team, the technology, the tokenomics, along with a few other things and a whole lot of conviction that you're right. I went over the types of portfolios people build in crypto a few months back and MOST people are going to be just fine with a 50/50 split on Bitcoin and Ethereum and hold it for years. That's a pretty solid strategy for long-term wealth building, which should give you far greater returns than the S&P index funds. But the windfalls require much more risk and research. I think we have until about 2030 until those opportunities are gone too. So right now, I imagine most people are just 'hodling' & waiting to sell when we get into what Raul Pal calls the "banana zone." As for the future, make these next 6 years count to the best of your ability. Learn to trust your own abilities and stand fast on your convictions in what you find. I talk about various projects on here sometimes, but I'm not a financial advisor. Assume I eat paint chips and lick screen doors. Never take what I say as investment advice, because it isn't. Invest in your own knowledge and gain the ability to navigate the myriad of chains in existence so you don't find yourself on one of these zombie chains in the future. And you still might 🤷‍♂️ We'll meme about that this weekend 🤣 One thing I do have a lot of knowledge and experience in is the multi-billion dollar world of telecommunications. Imagine you got a pizza, right? Instead of selling the whole pie, you slice it up and sell each slice separately. That’s tokenization in a nutshell. Here's how it goes down: Real Estate: Instead of buying a whole building, you can own a little piece of it. Like owning a slice of that fancy condo downtown. Securities: Stocks and bonds, all that Wall Street jazz, turned into tokens you can trade online. No need to deal with those suits. Intellectual Property: Think patents and copyrights. You get a digital piece of those too. Commodities: Gold, oil, whatever. You get a piece of the action without needing a warehouse. Services: Even services get chopped up into tokens. You got a token, you get the service. Simple as that. Why Bother with Tokenization? More Liquidity: It makes it easier to buy and sell stuff that used to be hard to move. Like flipping a hot dog on the street. Transparency: Everything's on the blockchain, clear as day. No funny business. Accessibility: Anyone can get in on the action. No big bucks needed upfront. Efficiency: Cuts out the middlemen and speeds things up. Less waiting, more trading. Examples: Real Estate: You can own a chunk of some swanky property through platforms like RealT.
