You’re testing your telecommunications systems. What’s the best tool to ensure everything works perfectly?
Testing your telecommunications system is important to make sure you have end-to-end connectivity and you can connect to the outside world. There are points of failure both internally and externally throughout the system - some hardware dependent and some rely on software interoperability. A packet sniffer tool like Wireshark which is a network protocol analyzer that captures and displays the data traveling back and forth on a network in real-time. There are standard command-line tools like "ping" and "traceroute" for checking the reachability of a host and tracing the route to it that can also help troubleshoot.
