Why Building a CareOps Platform from Scratch on Open-Source Can Be Costly ! For fast-growing healthcare companies, building a custom CareOps platform to manage patient care and programs is critical as their needs expand. The flexibility of open-source is tempting—it offers control and customization. But starting from scratch with open-source frameworks can lead to unforeseen costs and delays. Here’s why: → Building from scratch goes beyond basic functionality. Developing a CareOps platform that handles complex workflows, patient data, and compliance is a massive task. The technical debt can quickly overwhelm your team. → Constant maintenance and updates. Open-source technologies evolve rapidly, and keeping your platform secure, compliant, and updated with the latest features is a full-time job of a large dedicated team. → Healthcare regulations are complex. Meeting HIPAA, GDPR, and other compliance standards requires rigorous oversight. Building a platform that handles these regulations properly from day one is challenging—and costly. → Scalability becomes a major hurdle. As your organization grows, scaling a platform built from scratch—while maintaining performance, security, and compliance—requires significant reinvestment. → Lost opportunity cost. Every hour spent developing the platform is an hour not spent innovating on core services, improving patient outcomes, or focusing on patient care. The Smarter Path ? Zelthy offers a powerful alternative. While it is built on the open-source foundation that developers love for flexibility, Zelthy eliminates the need to start from scratch. With Zelthy, healthcare organizations get the best of both worlds: → Ready-to-use healthcare infrastructure: Zelthy provides pre-built, healthcare-specific packages that handle complex workflows, compliance, patient data security, and regulatory requirements—so you don’t have to build them from the ground up. → Customizable without the complexity: Zelthy allows you to build your unique workflows without the overhead of managing and maintaining the base infrastructure. → Scalable by design: Zelthy is built to handle the evolving needs of healthcare organizations, ensuring you can scale as your patient base grows without sacrificing performance or security. → Faster time-to-market: With Zelthy’s foundational components, your team can focus on delivering exceptional care, rather than getting bogged down by infrastructure and regulatory complexity. In short, Zelthy gives you the flexibility of open-source, with the added reliability, security, and scalability that healthcare demands. It allows you to build in-house without the headaches of building from scratch. P.S. Open-source is a powerful tool, but starting from zero can lead to massive costs and delays. With Zelthy, you get a strong foundation that lets you focus on what really matters—delivering top-notch care while remaining compliant and secure.

The defining factor isn't the size of the company or startup, but the vision behind it. Take OpenAI, for instance. Until last year, unless you were deeply embedded in the ML world as a computer scientist/researcher, or enthusiast, you might not have heard of OpenAI. Meanwhile, a giant like Google was dominating the scene. However, a few years back, OpenAI was just another small startup. Now, it's rapidly evolving into a major player in big tech. Why and how? It comes down to having a long-term vision, a clear roadmap, patience, and solid execution (i.e., talents). Even in the context of healthcare AI, where (small) startups face many challenges (including the ones mentioned), the principles of vision and strategy apply. While merging with big tech might seem like an option for some, if a startup truly believes in its vision and has a well-defined path to achieve it, it should forge ahead independently. The landscape is evolving, and like OpenAI, today’s small startups with clear, visionary goals could be tomorrow's industry leaders. #starup #founders #openai #google #healthcare

🪧Zvonimir’s first company, AWW app - A Web Whiteboard, went head-to-head with Miro, hit 100k MAUs, and was ultimately acquired by Miro 🏎️💨Pythagora (YC W24) dropped an open-source devtool that builds apps from scratch just by chatting with you and hit 30k GitHub stars at lightning speed 🎓In this video, he’ll tell you about his learnings with AWW and what’s different for a second time founder🎥 👣Here’s some counterintuitive startup advice: Don’t get pulled into industries just because your customers are asking you to. Choose your own path 😵💫Are you thinking of getting a few customers just to learn and perfect your product? Don’t. Instead, aim to get more customers than you can handle!

HOW MANY SOFTWARE SOLUTIONS CLINICS USE? ----- We've made some sort of research, how many software solutions clinics use everyday, and it looks terrible 😥 Typical healthcare provider uses: 1. CRM (Amo, SalesForce, Bitrix etc) 2. Lead collection software 3. EHR 4. Billing and invoicing 5. Chat collector 6. BI analytics (excel, mostly😁) 7. Patient's app 8. Online booking system 9. LIS And so on. Meaning, users have to work in different windows, IT department is running around with the roll of a duct tape, and management sees nothing about clinic's performance. And, most importantly, they are paying to each software provider, instead of paying just us 😱 (much less though). I really can't get why clinics keep using a zoo of systems, while their management uses 1 iPhone, and doesn't care with them phone, camera, palm etc. I mean they know how it works in personal tech, why not implement it in business? But this have to end, and we are here to help 😀 If you are ready to stop struggling with 10 systems, and start struggling with just one, give me a call=)

Vertical SaaS (VSaaS) is undergoing a powerful transformation. The first wave brought industries online with cloud-based services, enabling companies to digitise their core operations. The second wave integrated fintech, embedding financial solutions such as payments and payroll, increasing revenue per customer and extending the reach of these platforms. Now we are witnessing the third wave: #cloud + #fintech + #AI. Artificial intelligence is taking VSaaS to the next level by automating tasks that were previously too complex for #software, such as marketing, customer service and finance. This shift has the potential to increase revenue per customer by 2-10x, and it's particularly exciting for industries like healthcare. In #healthcare, AI-powered VSaaS platforms can streamline patient management, billing and administrative tasks, freeing up healthcare professionals to focus on patient care. This new era of AI-powered #VSaaS will continue to reshape industries and open up previously inaccessible markets. Thanks Andreessen Horowitz for the great insight. https://lnkd.in/emtsgnHF

A top #NYC medical transport provider came to us with a unique request... It involved optimizing routes while integrating a 15-minute buffer for off-boarding and sanitization before each subsequent trip. Exactly the problem none of the mapping API providers today provide off the shelf. Neither are they willing to work on a solution to your problem. But we at NextBillion.ai love custom configurations because of our unique API first architecture and platform. This custom optimization request is just one example of how we tailor solutions to unique needs of industries like Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (#NEMT) sector. Searching for a route optimization engine that's as adaptable as your business? Moving pizzas, people or parcels? Reach out to us to solve your routing, scheduling and dispatch problems! Telemedicine is changing the game. It's a virtual medical consultation. But it's so much more than that. It's: ⚡️Efficient: avoid long wait times at clinics ⚡️Convenient: no need for travel or time off from work ⚡️Cost-effective: no need to pay for a physical office visit ⚡️Flexible: consultations from anywhere, at any time The pandemic highlighted the power of telemedicine. But it's not going away with the end of the pandemic. It's a game changer for doctors, patients, and healthcare as a whole. What do you think about telemedicine? Would you be comfortable seeing a doctor virtually?
