So it has been a month since I have posted about my CMA journey and since that posting things in my life really got crazy! 🤪 2 Non-local Dance Competitions For My Daughter 👯‍♂️ Easter ✝️ Accepting A New Position 🛳️ Moving 1,435 Miles 🚚 Yep I drove with 2 kids and 3 cats 1,435 miles to our new home. Just one overnight stop! The kids and the kitties were so good I was incredibly impressed!! 💕 Packing very quickly to move 1,435 miles away (we were not really packed when I accepted the offer for my new position) – Husband & 3 Kids… not an easy packing job!! 🤪🤣🥺 So to say that I’ve had a setback in my studies for the CMA is an UNDERSTATEMENT 🥺 The good thing about unpacking is we can do it at our own pace… so now that I am here and we are slowly getting settled into the new place I am able to get back on that study train 🚂 I may need to adjust my estimated test date. Which I didn’t want to do, but I also need to be realistic and don’t want to get too overwhelmed and make sure I am really ready when I go to sit for that exam. The best part about this #hockstudypath is that it easily adjusts depending on how much (or in my case this past month) how little you have been able to study. Plus there are wonderful quizzes I can take to refresh what I have learned before my setback and get back up to speed. Clients are going to experience needing to use DYI software like Federal Free File for personal 1040s or Turbo Tax for personal or simple, small business returns. If you want to get consultation or have more complicated tax scenarios or problems, then you will need to get in line to work with a Tax Pro! ✨ Costs are most likely going to rise significantly as supply of tax professionals decrease, retire & expire.🤔 #DIYTax #TaxSoftware #TaxProfessionalShortage #SmallBusinessTaxes #AccountMobility #TaxPro

May 1st is a beautiful time of year for CPAs and all tax professionals, as most of us can take our foot off the gas for a bit. During this time, I am very passionate about taking proactive steps for current clients, recruiting and onboarding new clients, and getting consultations booked to educate and provide tax advisory services. ✅ Who is our ideal client? - Self-employed individuals - independent contractors or business owners. - Indiviudals with real estate/rental properties. - Kind people who need guidance/second opinions regarding their taxes, and also see the value of using a tax professional (this is very important, if not the most important factor)! 👍Why are these our ideal clients? - There are so many opportunities for tax savings that are continuously not being implemented. ❌Time and time again, either during discovery calls or the onboarding process, we see people overpaying the IRS. Who wants to pay the IRS more than they need to?! Not many people.
