Back in December 2023, housing experts predicted mortgage rates would drop significantly by Q3 of 2024. But, as we’re seeing now, the reality turned out a little different. 🏡 Predicted Rates: Mortgage Bankers Association: 6.1% National Association of Realtors: 6.3% Fannie Mae: 6.7% Actual Rates (Sept 2024): 30-year fixed mortgage: 6.37% While interest rates didn’t dip as much as expected, home prices are stabilizing. 📉 Takeaway?
