About
I work on challenges at the intersection of corporate integrity, risk and responsibility. I'm a clinical professor at NYU Stern School of Business, where I teach professional responsibility, sustainability, and leadership classes to undergraduate, MBA and Executive MBA students.
My first book, Higher Ground: How Business can do the Right Thing in a Turbulent World, published by Harvard Business Review Press, 2024. It was listed as one of the top ten business books of 2024 by the Financial Times and The Globe and Mail.
I hold Senior Advisor roles at KKR, Pictet Group, Enlighten Advisory. I am an Ethical Systems collaborator. I’m a LinkedIn Top Voice. I am a member of the FT Moral Money advisory board, a BCG Brighthouse fellow, and a fellow of the Australian Catholic University Governance and Public Affairs Centre.
I still regularly provide confidential advisory support to multinational companies on strategy, sustainability, political and social risk, culture and behavior, human rights, ethics and compliance, stakeholder engagement, ESG, and anti-corruption. I regularly speak and write on all aspects of business responsibility and ethics. I frequently give keynote talks and run senior workshops and executive training programs on complex political, social and ethical dilemmas.
I’ve written articles in Harvard Business Review, Bloomberg. WSJ, Reuters, Barron's, MIT Sloan, and Forbes, and am quoted in New York Times, Financial Times, Time, Axios, WSJ. Bloomberg, NBC News, Strategy + Business, Foreign Policy, Fortune, The Guardian, and Politico.
