Finding value in credit markets really comes down to how investors view risk. One of the best ways to get a sense of both risk and opportunity is by looking at credit spreads. While spreads indicate the market's perception of risk, it's up to investors to determine if they're getting value for their exposure.

Fidelity’s Matthew Fruhan believes the largest U.S. banks are set to dominate the market for the next 10 to 20 years. "I think it's going to be a three- or four-horse race, with the largest banks galloping away from the rest of the pack and taking organic market share… I see this as one of the best organic share-taking stories in the stock market," says Matthew. He attributes this outlook to increased confidence in bank deposits, potential regulatory changes, and the disproportionate benefits of AI investments. I'm incredibly honored to have been asked to participate as a panelist for today's, Heart of Maine United Way, ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) Summit.Oftentimes I think we take for granted the fact that we have valuable insights and knowledge gained from our professional lives. I love that, but what I love more is when you can use that insight, to be an advocate, especially for those who are doing all the things right, but are still struggling to make ends meet.It's tough to afford to survive these days, let alone to thrive. What you might not know is these are individuals with jobs such as registered nurses, educators, professional service providers, service industry professionals... These people are not minimum wage earners that are still struggling with essentials. Today we hoped to create and install empathy, that leads to action, and advocacy that breaks down stigmas and misconceptions, and finally, leads to change. Unfortunately, we are in a world where employment does not equal stability for many households. 46% of Mainers to be exact. So close to half of us, are struggling to pay for Housing, Food, Transportation, healthcare, and/or Childcare.I would impress upon you the importance of understanding what an ALICE household is, and how so many things need to change in order for our fellow neighbors some of us being ourselves, to be able to afford to live in our great state.
