Working yourself out of a job is a badge of honor for every great scrum master or agile coach. Someone asked me why it was hard for scrum masters to work themselves out of a job in 2024. It could be where we are in the agile adoption curve; the late majority/laggards. Teams are getting harder to coach up into high performance, autonomous teams. Even in the best corporate cultures, getting to this level of autonomy is just not realistic for all teams. Getting agile to stick in a resisting culture is extremely challenging as compared to 10 years ago when early adopters/early majority were excited to be learning agile. Laggard organizations will require more discipline and less autonomy in the early going. Over time, a Shuhari approach may help resistant teams develop an appreciation for agile practices and help new practices stick.

Question Mark's question of the day: What is the most helpful thing you've experienced a Scrum Master do?? Please comment below. If possible, include your role in the situation (Developer, PO, manager, etc.).

A Certified Scrum Master with SAFe credentials asks: "Should a Scrum Master capture and publish meeting minutes for the Daily Scrum? What does the Scrum Guide say?" Where exactly have we gone wrong, as a community and industry, in teaching Scrum, that one can get certified as a Scrum Master along with SAFe and not know the answer to this question? The answer is there are **no minutes taken** because the Daily Scrum is a critical inspect/adapt point where the team shares their progress and impediments with each other in order to plan out what to do for the day. To outsiders, it might look like a status meeting, but it's actually part of working ON the process vs. IN the process. It's in the Scrum Guide, which everyone who has obtained a cert should know where to download. At a bit of a loss, here.
