🌎 Excited to share this little snippet showing how we've been using AI to help us understand the world better over at permutable.ai using our news sentiment analysis.... One of the areas we've been focusing on is the political landscape in Latin America, tracking the economic struggles, political upheaval, authoritarian threats, and geopolitical dynamics in countries like Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, and Ecuador. 💡 What I really love about this is how thinking about these world events can really open our minds and change how we approach various issues i.e. how understanding rising economic instability and political shifts can broaden our perspectives. The question I'm left thinking is with so much volatility in the region, how can policymakers and international organizations respond to these challenges? #BrainExpansion #WorldEvents #GlobalAwareness #PoliticalRisk #LatinAmerica #GeopoliticalAnalysis #ChangeManagement #InternationalPolicy #PoliticalTension #EmergingMarkets #RiskAnalysis

70% That's the number of Marketing Operations professionals that believe that Data Quality is more important than budget or headcount, according to the latest Darrell Alfonso poll. This is aligned with what we continually see in our clients, and the reason why our most used Flowsteps are the ones that allow data to be fixed, improved and automated without leaving Adobe Marketo. Do you know that you can measure and score the data quality at lead level, and keep a live reporting on that? Next time your sales colleagues return with new contacts from an event and do the things sales guys do with your data... you can know in advance, full-auto. 😎 Check this video to see how's done, and try it by yourself at Flowsteps.io

An intriguing conundrum awaits us at the crossroads of technology and humanity. Picture this. A flawless AI versus a fallible human. The AI, with its algorithms, precise calculations, and zero margin for error, holds a promise of perfection. A world devoid of human bias, error, and unpredictability. On the other hand, we have the fallible human. Humans, with their intuition, creativity, and ability to navigate the gray areas of life that can't be quantified into binary codes. Perfection versus Passion. Precision versus Perception. Algorithms versus Authenticity. The AI excels in efficiency, but the human thrives on empathy. In the end, it boils down to what you value more - the infallibility of AI or the ingenuity of human beings. Drop a 'AI' or 'Human' in the comments below to share your preference. Remember, there are no wrong answers, only different perspectives. Let's stir the pot and open up this thought-provoking conversation. 🎯 https://www.lluviai.us/

"...Generative #AI investments are likely to experience few (certainly irresistible) up-rounds, followed by a correction phase, with inevitable closures, lay-off, down-rounds, low-valued acquisitions, and readjustments. Only the companies with sound business principles, proprietary data, insight analysis, and frictionless interactions with other human activities will survive. Even from those who survive, only few will thrive. What investors are missing are the great opportunities that lie in the next massive wealth waterfall, built quietly over the last two years of dry powder..." - Alicia Castillo Holley, PhD, MBA, MSci on Bubbles, Waterfalls and Investing. #Leadership #GlobalBusiness #venture

💡 BBVA is an AI early adopter, but when will the impact hit the bottom-line? 🚀 BBVA’s deployment of 3,300 ChatGPT Enterprise licenses has sparked innovation, with early adopters saving over two hours a week and using the tools for tasks like translating legal terms or drafting client responses. 📈 ⚠️On the surface, this seems like a win for AI in financial services. But beneath the initial productivity gains lie bigger questions. 📰 While GPTs handle static data well, integrating them with BBVA’s complex databases and systems is proving to be a significant hurdle. Some of the most valuable use cases remain out of reach because deep integrations are still extremely challenging. 🔗 🤖 Can AI become truly transformative or is it destined to deliver marginal gains? 💭 ✨ What do you think? 💡 P.S. It’s a very interesting article from the WSJ and I recommend giving it a read. 📖 #BankingIndustry #DigitalTransformation #ArtificialIntelligence #OpenBanking #Payments https://lnkd.in/ec8mnxAV

🌍 As we enter the second half of 2024 in an environment marked by geopolitical upheaval, election uncertainties and the disruptive force of Artificial Intelligence (#AI) running an organization is becoming more complex. I’d like to recommend the first of Spencer Stuart’s new "Measure of Leadership: CEOs and Directors on Navigating Change" series, based on the insights from 2,000 CEOs and Board directors plus more than 1,200 employees. 📌 These are some of the findings: ◼ 78% of CEOs and Board directors feel a high level of uncertainty and 25% worry their organization is slow to react to new challenges. To address this, CEOs are seeking wider insights from colleagues and internal/external sources. ◼ Across the myriad of topics about which leaders seek counsel, one that stood out in the findings of the report is the relationship between boards and CEOs, where there are some significant gaps in perception. For instance, CEOs seem less confident in their boards than vice versa. While most directors (87%) trust their CEO's ability to handle challenges, only a third of CEOs feel very confident in their board's guidance ◼ In terms of what leaders are prioritizing right now in the context of constant change and ongoing uncertainty, CEOs in the survey are most focused on issues they can directly control: company #culture, changing workforce dynamics and access to #talent ◼ Close to 70% of CEOs in the survey said the changing workforce and access to talent was a priority they’re addressing. However, employees are less committed to their companies than leaders think: 65% of employees said their commitment was ‘average’ or ‘below average’ compared with years past ◼ The study shows the gap between buzz and reality when it comes to gen AI. While the vast majority of leaders agree that gen AI will impact their businesses and transform ‘pretty much everything’ only 40% of CEOs call gen AI a priority they are already addressing and about 3 in 10 say it’s not a priority 🔴 I leave you with some of my #thoughts: 1️⃣ Peter Drucker and his famous adage that ‘Culture eats strategy for breakfast’ is well alive in the minds of CEOs and Board directors around the world 2️⃣ The ‘commitment gap’ between leaders and employees is a serious challenge in an environment where companies will need to live in a mode of constant transformation in order to survive and thrive. It requires empathy, transparency, dialogue, and internal co-creation, all supported by a strong common culture. 3️⃣ In today’s complex and fast changing environment, the role of Boards supporting and challenging CEOs is more important than ever. CEOs and Boards need to work closely together to identify the risks and opportunities from disruption and to encourage questions on strategy that will drive alignment and add value to the business. 🔴 What are your thoughts? 👉 Here to the report: https://lnkd.in/gp4tYVh8

The Future of (Generative AI) Search Explore the future of search with generative AI. Discover how Apple Intelligence, context-based understanding, intent-driven interactions, and integrated workflows are transforming search. Learn about the trust challenges and the critical balance needed for reliable, AI-powered search experiences. In this webinar from June 11, 2024, we dive into the fascinating world of generative search and explore how it's evolving far beyond the traditional notion of search. We kick off by discussing the recent announcements from Apple's WWDC keynote, particularly focusing on Apple Intelligence and how it sets the stage for the future of search. Key Points: - Apple Intelligence marks the start of a new AI-powered era for Apple, with deep integration into the operating system and a privacy-first approach. - Search extends far beyond web searches, encompassing diverse domains like commerce, file systems, and more. - The complexity of perception, reasoning, and action in search systems is evolving, leading to more advanced AI-powered search experiences. - Search is progressing from language-based to context-based understanding, leveraging multimodal inputs and even exploring the potential of neurotechnology. - The shift from command-driven to intent-driven interactions enables search systems to better understand and fulfill user needs without explicit instructions. - Search results are moving from simple information retrieval to integrated workflows, seamlessly connecting information across apps and systems. - Trust is a critical challenge in generative search, with issues like contradictory sources, hallucinations, tool variability, prompt bias, and generative pollution impacting reliability. - The trust matrix categorizes search tools based on the level of trust in their sources and their ability to summarize or synthesize information. - Case studies in domains like law highlight the significant challenges in establishing trust in generative search systems, despite their potential for efficiency gains. - The future of search lies in striking a balance between leveraging the power of generative AI while addressing the fundamental issues of trust and reliability. #ai #artificialintelligence #generativeai #airesearch #complexity #intimacyeconomy #chatgpt #complexchange #changemanagement #futureofwork #artificiality #mindforourminds #intimacyeconomy #agenticweb

Most recent Bain #NPSLoyaltyForum hosted by Carrier took place last week - here are a few takeaways and recommendations. I want to start by thanking Amit Mohanty, Christian Regout, Paula Fernández and team for hosting us in the spectacular Center for Intelligent Buildings. https://lnkd.in/enksNi62 What an immersive experience into the HVAC world and how to demonstrate technology to customers. "CX is about making employees’ lives easier to make customers’ experiences better." This key sentiment reinforces that a customer-centric organization starts with engaged employees. Training, tangible examples, and leadership advocacy—especially for non-customer-facing roles—lay the foundation for exceptional experiences. Integrated data strategies were a recurring theme, with advice on connecting NPS feedback, using AI to mine insights, and collaborating across departments. Focusing on targeted use cases ensures actionable results. As one participant noted: “Don’t boil the ocean; start with a few high-value use cases.” Many sessions emphasized the need for integrated data strategies to inform CX efforts. Whether it’s connecting NPS feedback with operational trends or using AI to mine unstructured feedback, the key is focused collaboration across departments. Collaborating with IT and focusing on targeted insights that drive value, rather than overwhelming teams with data, ensures actionable outcomes. As one participant noted: “Don’t boil the ocean; start with a few high-value use cases.” I had the opportunity to facilitate a breakout discussion on the topic and will share more details in the coming weeks. I also had the pleasure of co-presenting with Louise Keely on the topic of synthetic customers and synthetic feedback. It's a a game-changing tool for CX teams as it offers the ability to - Train Frontline Teams more effectively - Validate Messaging e.g. in marketing for inclusivity - Refine Value Propositions to improve customer alignment I will share more details in the next edition of my #CustomerFirst newsletter. Please, subscribe using the link in the first comment if you want to know more. The picture below was taken in the session about Global Standards for CX Functions that we recently launched with our partners from Qualtrics and Kantar. They are helpful to teams to identify where they stand in the CX journey and determine their way forward. I really enjoyed the discussion with the forum members about use cases of the standards and how to further their programs in B2C, B2B2C and B2B. More to come ;-) #NPS #NetPromoterScore #NetPromoterSystem #CX #CustomerExperience #EX #EmployeeExperience

How KPMG’s CMO is promoting Generative AI within the consulting giant by Drew Neisser 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗾𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗼𝘂𝘁: "We’ve realized that AI won’t replace humans—but humans using AI will replace those who aren’t." I applaud Lauren Wagner Boyman’s commitment to upskilling the marketing team's AI acumen. This is the necessary step to transform business as usual in an AI world. I'm curious how your company prepares its workforce to incorporate AI into your team members' everyday work. Comment below ⤵️

Excited for South Summit Madrid next week and the theme: "Human by Design." As technology accelerates with AI, it's key to remember that human aspects, change management, and adoption will remain critical success factors—just as they have always been. While organizations can achieve remarkable benefits from the pragmatic implementation of the latest tech innovations, the need for human leadership and engagement will remain essential. Thriving organizations will continue to be built on the foundation of people who feel valued and motivated to contribute. How we build these elements into the design of products and implementation programs can make all the difference. Let's connect! #SouthSummit24 #HumanByDesign #Innovation #Leadership #AI #Automation #ChangeManagement #SoftwareProduct

My column in MarTech published yesterday. The predictions are grounded in years of C-suite interviews and associated data. Like all predictions, even if they’re directionally correct they may take longer to manifest. That said, it is clear that we have reached a point of crisis in B2B GTM. The definition of “crisis” is a moment from which things can get better or very much worse. That applies here. None of us like moments of crisis. They represent fundamental instability, and the threat of unwelcome change. However, with the right responses, crises are also huge opportunities. I believe that we stand on the threshold of a golden era in GTM, but we all have to choose to do what’s necessary to realize it. What’s on the table from the CEOs and CFOs I spoke to is a demand for a common rule book on navigating, forecasting, optimizing, and correcting GTM spend and operations. Without this, the present dysfunctions will only deepen. The executives I interviewed said a number of things very clearly and consistently. A big takeaway was the dissolution of confidence and trust in their Marketing and Sales functions. The question of “who’s right, and who’s wrong” will need attention, but the main objective is repairing one of the most important relationships in business today.

I had a great discussion with Doron Avni, Google's VP for Government Affairs & Public Policy for the Emerging Markets Region, on how AI can reshape Latin America's economic future. In order to harness the full potential of AI, a comprehensive approach is needed including Infrastructure, people, technological innovation and enabling policies. Infrastructure: Investing in robust infrastructure, such as subsea cables and data centers, is essential People: Empowering people with AI skills is crucial. Google is providing 1 million scholarships for career certificates including AI Essentials so Latin Americans more and more Latin Americans can be included in this new era. Technological Innovation and modern data laws that allow data sharing while preserving privacy and security are key. Enabling Policies: Governments and business leaders need to create policies that support AI development and innovation. The potential impact in Latin America is significant, with GDP growth projected up to 5.4% by 2030. And this is already happening - this is not just the future, for example, in Rio de Janeiro, Google's Green Light project uses real-time data from Google Maps and AI to optimize traffic lights, reducing car stops and emissions.
