The CEO of an enterprise company is not looking up "What is the best CRM?" on Google They reach out to their trusted consultants and ask them instead. HubSpot dominated organic search for the last decade, and as a result, dominated SMB. Breaking into Enterprise is not going to happen the same way That is exactly why HubSpot Consultants need to do better. I commend everyone who is creating content around HubSpot's latest beta features. However, that content will not bring net new customers into the HubSpot ecosystem. There is a gap in business process solution architecture content from HubSpot consultants. Content around the problems that these companies face and leaders are losing sleep over Content around possible solutions for these problems that are not simply "Buy HubSpot" Until we can build trust and become advisors to enterprise leaders, we will always be seen as software vendors. And I'm starting with my own content strategy moving forward.

Want inbound leads? Don't worry about a fancy profile setup. I know... That's against the grain advice there. But understand this. Compared to... Writing valuable content. Telling your story consistently. Giving free resources. Helping your community. Spitting game in the DMs. It's the least of your worries. Make your profile presentable. But don't spend 9483759308 hours making it perfect. Perfect is a waste of time.

Do we need a 40-min VSL at all to sell supplements? A marketer asked that question And here's what I shared: While writing a VSL for a ED supplement, I had the same question. Because most ingredients used in it were high awareness(sophisticated prospects are well-aware of them). Just the formulation was unique. Still, I went with a long form(but definitely not 40 mins...it must be 25-min max) And the reason I CHOOSE to do it that way was because: 1. I had the opportunity to EDUCATE the viewers triggering their dopamine and tying the real cause of the problem to a deeper core reason which has less awareness among people. So I'm appealing to late adopters(and testing early adopters too coz of the mechanism & deeper core reason I'm tying the hero ingredients to) 2. I was able to use a real story with hero's journey (with creative liberties of course) to tap into deep emotions and touch upon the shame, guilt, and even suicidal tendencies in people with ED. So I consciously used the story. That said, I'll be writing a LOT of variations with different durations to test the VSL... (besides testing the positioning, leads, and UX variations). On top of that, I'm also writing a landing page to test and see if I can sell the supplements WITHOUT VSLs. (With just facebooks ads > Landing Page > Money Page) So to answer the question? Definitely, a 40-min VSL with a DRAMATIC, over-hypey story + cooked up mechanism with NO credibility and overpromising claims are gonna be met with HUGE resistance. Because the sophistication level of the market is high and audiences are gonna be super-skeptical unless you give a DEFINITE reason to suspend their disbelief. So for high-awareness supplements - when targeted to high-sophisticated audience just short copy would do WITH a clear USP(AKA why other supplements won't work and WHY you) But for low-sophisticated audience, you can educate them with a VSL. Because a market sure has late adopters cumming in always(ah..did u see what writing ED offer does to me Haha) But when you are able to CONSCIOUSLY write a VSL with: Real story + mechanism + high awareness positioning + inspiring the prospects with valuable information... WITHOUT scaring the sh8t out of your audience who watch and respect their intelligence and awareness level - there is a good chance long VSLs will work. 11 guaranteed ways to KILL an ABM program... 1. RUN A PROGRAM TO 1000s ACCOUNTS. Ask yourself: from these 1000s accounts how many of them are vendor aware? How many of them demonstrate buying signals? It's not ABM, it's spray and pray. 2. BUYING AN EXPENSIVE ABM STACK FOR THE PILOT PROGRAM. Software ≠ ABM. No expensive stack will help to fix a broken playbook I've described above. 3. TARGETING A WISH LIST.   Everybody wants to sell to the Fortune 500, but if these companies are not in market and don't prioritize the challenge your product solves, you program will fail. 4. LACK OF SALES BUY-IN AND SUPPORT. ABM success heavily depends on coordinated actions of marketing and sales. If there is no buy-in and support from sales, you're likely to do "air cover" that won't convert into revenue. 5. LACK OF ACCOUNT QUALIFICATION CRITERIA. Not all accounts that fit your firmographics are a good fit. You need to define patterns between lost deals. Then, develop account qualification criteria to avoid spending time and money on accounts that will never buy from you. 6. TRYING TO GENERATE SALES OPPORTUNITIES WITH COLD ACCOUNTS. Accounts that are not aware of you are very likely to ignore you. Instead of targeting cold accounts, identify accounts that are already "aware" of you and demonstrate product-need / buying signals. 7. LACK OF ACCOUNT RESEARCH.   Nobody cares about how your product helps X with Z. The buying committee members from your target accounts care: - How their jobs-to-be-done can be improved - How they can hit their targets - How it's aligned with the company's strategic goals. 8. TARGETING DECISION-MAKERS ONLY.   Guess how many cold emails and cold calls an average C+/VP of mid-size/enterprise organizations receive daily? Your message is likely to be bulk deleted and call blocked by a gatekeeper. 9. LACK OF HUMAN INTERACTIONS WITH THE BUYING COMMITTEE. Programmatic display ads and automated outbound is not a warm-up and activation. You can warm up accounts only with:   * meaningful engagement * content co-creation * micro-events, etc where you'll have a chance to have 1-1 conversations with the buying committee members. 10. LACK OF LEADING INDICATORS.   ABM is not a silver bullet that can drastically decrease sales cycle. Make sure you have leading indicators to track program performance to avoid killing program too early that shows traction but doesn't generate revenue. 11. FOCUSING ON A NEW PIPELINE FOR A PILOT.   Generate new logos without proven playbooks is hard. I was researching Alex Hormozi's books and wondering if he runs a legitimate business or if it's just another scam. Here's a snippet I found on Reddit about his marketing strategy, which looks on point.👇 "I get a chuckle when I see these posts. Everything is a sales game in business. Alex's method is to post good content on social media then engage interested people in chats online and then lead them towards sales call... not exactly revolutionary. And the marketing techinques he uses are universal and used all over. Sell the sizzle not the steak.. keep reminding the potential customer about their problem and why they have that problem.. and make them discuss it out loud.. then offer them a possible solution and talk about how that solution will make them feel.. without going into detail about he actual work that will done.. Emotional appeals work. All marketing is based around FUD> Fear, uncertainty, doubt... even beer commercials... That 'FREE' item is called a 'loss leader' in college marketing courses. McDonald's does it. Walmart does it. Everyone does it. If you want to learn how to book calls and close them for high ticket info products his methods work.. they are twists on Russel Brunson stuff who is a twist on Dan Kennedy who is a twist on.. you name it.. The reason this is across generations from vacuum salesmen to internet gurus is because HUMANS react to it and it works. FEAR sells. Hope to eliminate that fear sells."

A new AI content tool seems to pop up every other day. But most fail to deliver. Why? They're generic, robotic, one-size-fits-all. That's the output you get from most AI tools - even when promising otherwise. Your unique voice? Lost. Your "brand" identity? Nowhere to be found. They promise efficiency but deliver mediocrity. Here is what I have learned building Flowsend: - Solving real problems takes real thought, time, and money invested behind how the system is instrumented.  - You must give AI the right context for the content it's ingesting (not simple) - Quality matters. Cheap models produce cheap results. - Constant rendition, improvement, and staying on top of the latest AI models and best practices is a must. - The best content is flexible, so your AI needs to be too. Different post types, formats, templates, etc. - User experience is key, if the UI isn’t intuitive, users won’t hang around to learn. (We have a ton of room to grow there.) Why don’t more AI start-ups (or features) do this? I think it is because most are making a quick land grab. They underestimate their user’s ability to see through the cheap GPT wrappers. (I do think ‘wrappers’ have their place) And the reality is that for 75%+ percent of people, mediocrity is fine. But it wasn't for us. What do you think of the current AI content tools?
