“I am writing this recommendation based on the foundational knowledge of Elizabeth’s value I gained while at NAVCENT. We were challenged with implementing significant change in staff structure and process to gain greater efficiency and effectiveness. As with any major change in staff there are challenges with the process of change as well as personalities. Based on Elizabeth’s education, coupled with her experience, we were able to avoid many of the more common pitfalls associated with both. Her in depth knowledge of the change process enabled us to develop the structures necessary to determine what our goals were and relate those back to the changes required to achieve them. She helped lead us through, and past, the fallacy of change for change sake, to get to the real change necessary to achieve staff alignment required to realize the desired organizational goals. We would have taken significantly longer to gain the required alignment without Elizabeth’s understanding of the importance of rigor and structure, and supporting data and dialog, in shaping how best to move forward. Additionally, Elizabeth was able to position herself as a neutral arbiter in the process. She maintained a position of mediator, seeing both or multiple sides of an issue, addressing unique views while finding where common ground could be agreed to. I would strongly recommend you consider Elizabeth to join your team, not only for her expertise and experience, but the manner in which she can bridge divergent views while finding convergent perspectives to gain consensus and agreement as to how best to proceed for the betterment of the larger organization.”
