SCRIPTURE IF THE DAY: 1 PETER 4:8 1 Peter 4:8 GNBUK "Above everything, love one another earnestly, because love covers over many sins. " We all know the first commandment: "Love God above all else". Now this is very important. You cannot love other people without loving God first. When you accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour, you will receive the Holy Spirit. Now you are ready to proclaim your unending love for God. Therefore you need to express your sacred love of God in all your works and in all your words. Through God's grace you will be able to effortlessly love your neighbors, your friends, family and even those who mock your faith or those who hurt you badly. Loving others should be a natural reaction, an instinctive way to treat those you meet. You should avoid holding grudges and you must control your anger and irritaton. Rather choose God's way and follow Jesus's example. Love without expecting anything in return. It takes little energy to be more compassionate and kind. Empathy for others is crucial. Always try and understand other's motivation behind their actions. With love, try to reach out to those who seem caught by by the snares of their worries and problems. Be ready to open your heart for those in pain. Help others carry the burden of their lives. Be considerate when you are around others. Treat them in the way you wish to be treated.
