During yesterday's company-wide town hall, I had the absolute pleasure of introducing our HE Culture Memo, which has been a labor of love for quite some time! We’ve drawn inspiration from many successful companies but felt compelled to put pen to paper on what makes us truly unique. This memo serves as a guide not just to our internal team but also as a statement to everyone about who we are, how we work, and what we stand for. The Federal Reserve’s half-point cut signals both the end of its fight against high inflation and a renewed focus on supporting the labor market. Chair Powell’s speech in Jackson Hole last month previewed this shift toward protecting the labor market, and those words are now turning into action. There’s a lot of hype around AI right now, but after using our new tool GenieAI, I have to say some of it is deserved. Especially for small teams who are attempting to do more with less (and naturally finding that impossible). GenieAI is a search tool, personal assistant, draft-generator, translator, and more, all in one. It cuts a ton of manual work out of your day, gives insightful feedback in coaching scenarios, and speeds up typically laggy processes like sifting through sales content. It’s pretty cool, TBH. Bottom line – Owner is on a fantastic mission to make sure beloved local businesses thrive in a world where technology and AI will dictate their future. It's time for 2025 budget planning, and the alignment meeting Finance & Engineering is more important than ever. Yeah, yah. I know I'm a marketing leader, but I do think the Engineering/Finance relationship affects the entire organization when planning for the next year. This is especially true with GenAI transforming our workflows. It's crazy out there! You must back every R&D investment with solid data rather than just intuition. I couldn’t agree more with John Case’s latest article for Forbes Technology Council on how businesses can attract (and retain 💪 ) this next generation of talent through tech. I see firsthand the importance of offering meaningful work, modern tools, and a culture that prioritizes flexibility and growth. In a world where tech-savviness is second nature to #GenZ, we need to rethink traditional approaches.
