While AI and particularly #generativeai is in the top priority for executives in #enterprises and #technology companies coming to pump in billions of dollars, the gains made is not uniform or universal yet for all types of enterprises. There are quite a few intriguing questions, though this podcast looks with lot of skepticism, the truth would be always in between. But one keypoint mentioned is high cost of AI and the process/ activity it is simplifying does not justify the cost. This is partially incorrect as human efficiency gained with copilot kind of tool is not deterministic. Once the processes and systems are reimagined in an AI-first manner, the value will increase multifold. BIGGEST MISTAKE: to focus on the tools. Technology is a tool, not a solution Focus on the "business need". If you want a vital first step, start your DTO and this will help you understand 1 What you need to do 2 What you need to do and in what order I know, a full blown DTO sounds like a tall order. But build it in stages Focus on a key process or strategy and build that bit really well. Then look at something else It is surprising how quickly you will reap the benefits ROI in in months, not years. A Business Tool that is also a long term Business Asset If you build it right. Worth putting in the time to plan Worth getting someone on board who can help you get there. Does not have to be a full time hire. A DTO will help you make fact based decisions. It is a business tool that models your business and helps you make better decisions. From Marketing, through Sales, Operations and even Finance That will help deliver Risk & Compliance Operational resilience Cost optimisation Enhanced Customer Experience Optimise Cash Flows ..... The more use cases, the better your DTO will become
