The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) is a bipartisan organization of U.S. citizens committed solely to strengthening, protecting and promoting the U.S.-Israel relationship in ways that enhance the security of the United States and Israel.

Every day, AIPAC’s staff and citizen activists engage with decision makers about the bonds that unite the two countries, and how it is in America’s best interest to help ensure that the Jewish state remains safe, strong and secure. AIPAC works to expand the U.S.-Israel alliance by cultivating relationships around shared values and by empowering pro-Israel leaders across America, including those from the Jewish, African-American, Hispanic, Christian, Progressive, Veteran and student communities.

AIPAC advocates for vital security assistance to Israel and the development of cooperative missile defense programs with the United States, which allow Israel to defend herself by herself. We work to end Israel’s isolation in international forums and to support her efforts to achieve peace with the Palestinians through direct, bilateral negotiations. And we promote strategic cooperation in key sectors including technology, energy, cyber security, border security, intelligence sharing and agriculture.

AIPAC urges all members of Congress to support Israel through foreign aid, government partnerships, joint anti-terrorism efforts, and the promotion of peace through a negotiated two-state solution—a Jewish state of Israel living alongside a demilitarized Palestinian state.

A registered domestic lobby supported by private contributions, AIPAC does not receive direction or financial assistance from Israel, any national organization or any foreign group. AIPAC is not a political action committee. It does not rate, endorse or contribute to candidates.

For more than 60 years, AIPAC has worked to make a difference. Together, we are building a better tomorrow for the United States and Israel.

We are making a difference. Children in the program feel more confident about themselves. They are thinking about future careers and higher education while still in elementary school. And our college student mentors are developing a sense of purpose and love for engaging in their community.

With chapters in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Montreal and Jerusalem, ICRF annually sponsors a rigorous grant review process conducted by an expert panel of U.S. and Canadian scientists and oncologists, and modeled on the NIH grant-making process.

Awards are granted directly to the most promising and capable Israeli cancer researchers at all of the leading (more than 20) academic and biomedical research centers throughout Israel. ICRF has funded more than $63 million to-date in awards to Israeli cancer researchers via more than 2,349 fellowships, project grants, career development awards and professorships. Grants have been provided to over 20 institutions including all major hospitals, universities and cancer research projects throughout Israel. Breakthrough discoveries by ICRF-funded scientists have led to the development of: Gleevec -used in the successful treatment of chronic myelogenous leukemia; Doxil - used in the treatment of breast & ovarian cancer as well as AIDS; p53 – a key tumor suppressor; RAD 51 which identifies the likelihood of breast cancer occurring in women who carry the BRCA 2 gene and Velcade - listed in the Wall Street Journal as the top medical breakthrough of 2003 and used in the treatment of multiple myeloma. The basic research ICRF funds has led to treatments and drugs that are benefiting cancer patients worldwide.

ICRF-funded scientists have won two Nobel prizes in chemistry, among countless other awards, for their contributions to the global fight against cancer.

The strength of the IDF, which has been guarding the State of Israel since it declared independence in 1948, derives from the selfless determination and great capabilities of the young men and women who form it. At the tender age of 18, all Israelis are drafted into the IDF. Those who serve commit to uphold the difficult tasks of defending Israel’s borders and guaranteeing the safety of its people.

The Israeli government is responsible for training IDF soldiers and providing them with the necessary tools for their service. FIDF is committed to providing these soldiers with love, support, and care in an effort to ease the burden they carry on behalf of the Jewish community worldwide.

Their job is to look after Israel. Ours is to look after them.
