Here's how you can transition from a junior developer role to a senior developer role.
While mastering skills is important, the number one thing - in my opinion - that separates a senior developer from a junior develop is the ability and willingness to train others. When a developer makes themself better, that's great. When a developer makes the team better, that's senior.

Front-end and back-end developers clash over database schema changes. How do you find common ground?
I've done 95% front end dev work, and I never care about db schema. All I care about is what data I receive from the endpoints. Now, if I require data that creates complex database calls (I've seen some MySQL queries that were novels), it might be time to look at the schema. But I leave that all up to the back end devs.

You're juggling front-end and back-end tasks with a tight deadline. How do you decide what to prioritize?
This is why I love component-driven design with small, dumb components. Build a component, and then build tests. As the components get used more and more, the tests will help recognize any issues as well as potential changes that will be needed.

You're juggling front-end and back-end tasks with a tight deadline. How do you decide what to prioritize?
This is difficult, because both sides have different needs: a bad front end upsets users, a bad back end potentially releases user data for millions of people. You're not guaranteed to leak data, but you are guaranteed to upset users on the front end. However, I say always prioritize security. Then make it pretty. If you need an ugly back end for the time being, that's fine as long as it's secure. But give your site a pretty face and positive user experience to keep the customer happy.
