What’s Your Trade Show Strategy? This past Tuesday, I attended The Home Care Show! in NJ. For me, attending a trade show feels like prepping for a big game—it’s all about what you do before, during and after. Before the Show: Which companies are attending? What booths should I visit? Who can I connect with to bring value to both sides? During the Show: It’s game time! I focus on real conversations (not just swapping business cards) and figure out how I can solve someone's #telecom challenges. After the Show: I follow up with personalized calls and emails to show the conversation was real, not just small talk. In my role as a Technology Strategist, I've often witnessed technology solutions being implemented with narrow focus—only addressing the immediate issue at hand. To ensure strategic IT decision-making, always ask yourself these critical questions: Have we audited our current solutions to confirm that the solution to this problem doesn't already exist? How will this impact other members of the organization? Is it scalable and aligned with our long-term growth plans? What are the maintenance costs? Do we have the resources to maintain it? The strategic application of technology can significantly influence your company's trajectory—potentially for better or worse.
