I received an email from Marc Reichel today. He is a Senior VP of Growth at Qnary. I am part of his regular outreach cadence and his emails usually contain some good branding nuggets. Today, those nuggets had a bigger impact as I have been contemplating the very topic he presented. Here is the main part of that email. LinkedIn Content Strategy Insights: 1. Consistency is one of the most important things when it comes to mastering the algorithms. Show up each week with the messages you want to be known for and post them at roughly the same times each week. 2. Don't just share facts, focus on the feelings as well. People won't always remember what you wrote, but they will remember how you made them feel. 3. First and foremost, content is about building trust - NOT for generating leads. Once you build trust, the demand for your expertise, product, or service will follow. 4. Each post should have a driving purpose, whether it's: actional, motivational, contrarian, comparison, prediction, curation, etc. 5. What are the core theme/s that you want to be known for (including expertise, business, and leadership style)? Make sure there are no more than 3 key themes and that all your content fits into at least one of them. Simple, straightforward and powerful, especially for people striving to build a personal or professional brand or make a professional leap to new things. I will put these reminders to good use.
