Being a Body-Oriented Coaching trainer and being recognised by the ICF isn't just something we are immensely proud of... it is in fact whispers of the changing winds. 🌟 Today at the OpenUp Tech Talk at the HR Technology Conference and Exposition, I had the privilege of participating in an insightful discussion on "Enabling Managers for Workplace Mental Well-being: The Why and How" led by OpenUp. Here are 5 key learnings from the Tech Talk by Geraldine Schepers on how we can empower managers to foster mental well-being in the workplace: 1. Cultivate a Supportive Culture: Building a culture where employees feel supported and valued is paramount. It starts from the top down, emphasizing empathy, communication, and understanding. 2. Train Managers in Relevant Topics: Providing managers with the necessary training on mental health awareness, communication skills, and conflict resolution equips them to better support their teams. 3. Equip Managers with Support Tools: Choosing company-wide solutions ensures consistency across teams, avoiding discrepancies in support systems and strategies. 4. Promote Self-care for Managers: Encouraging managers to prioritize their own well-being sets a powerful example and ensures they have the resilience to support their teams effectively. 5.
